The 4th Macao International Queer Film Festival (MIQFF) returns from June 5-27, 2026, bringing its largest program to date with a curated lineup of 24 feature films exploring LGBTQ+ stories, identities, and lived experiences from around the world.

This year’s edition carries the theme “Queertopia!/?,” reflecting on the evolving realities of queer life through cinema that challenges social norms, examines oppression, and celebrates love, freedom, and self-expression. As Macao’s only LGBTQ+-focused film festival, MIQFF continues its mission of fostering dialogue on gender and cultural diversity while creating a platform for queer voices to be seen and heard.

The festival opens with “Cyclone,” directed by Philip Yung, a drama following a transgender sex worker navigating identity, trauma, and survival after leaving Mainland China for Hong Kong. The film previously screened in the Big Screen Competition section at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2026 and served as the closing film of the 2026 Hong Kong International Film Festival.

Alongside screenings, MIQFF also features post-film discussions, talks, and community events throughout Pride Month. Don't miss out!

Embark on a journey through history with “Silk Roads Beyond Borders” at POLY MGM MUSEUM, L2, MGM MACAU, running from October 2025 to August 2026, with free admission. This extraordinary exhibition invites visitors to explore the cultural legacy of the ancient Silk Road, where civilizations across Eurasia connected through trade, art, and ideas.

Presented across four thematic chapters, the exhibition traces the pioneering routes that shaped early exchanges, the artistic brilliance that emerged from cross-cultural encounters, and the enduring spirit of the Silk Road that continues to influence the present.

Featuring over 200 rare and significant artifacts, the collection spans from the Western Zhou Dynasty to contemporary works, including silk textiles, ceramics, bronzes, Buddhist sculptures, calligraphy, and modern art.

Enhancing the experience are immersive digital installations that guide visitors along historic trade routes, alongside audio guides available in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. Daily guided tours are held at 3 PM and 4 PM, offering deeper insight into the exhibits, making each visit both educational and engaging across generations.

Wynn Resorts Macau marks its 20th anniversary and its return as the Official Host Partner of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 with an expanded edition of “Wing Lei Bar & Friends,” a six-day cocktail and dining festival running from July 24-29, 2026, across Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau. Bringing together more than 50 internationally acclaimed bartenders and chefs, the celebration features guest shifts, collaborative dinners, tasting experiences, and after-parties surrounding one of the region’s biggest bar industry events.

Highlights include Asia Checks In, Let’s Shake Up on July 24, featuring bar teams from ZLB23, Avoca, Bar Sathorn, and Stay Gold, while The Road Less Traveled and The Best of British II on July 25 showcase rising cocktail destinations and acclaimed UK bars. Guests can also attend Shake & Stir Hall of Fame with industry icons Antonio Lai and Nico de Soto, an Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Takeover, and collaborations with celebrated venues such as Smoke & Bitters, Manhattan Singapore, Three X Co, and Penrose.

The program culminates on July 28 with the official awards celebrations, including the Wing Lei Bar Secret Houseparty and a late-night Wynn Palace After Party, while exclusive dining collaborations throughout the week unite acclaimed restaurants and chefs from across Asia and beyond.
