Here’s Where You Can Donate for Typhoon Odette Survivors
Typhoon Odette left thousands of people homeless and cramped in evacuation centers after wreaking havoc across the southern portion of the Philippines last week. As of writing, authorities have pegged the death toll between around 156 and 375, with dozens still missing and hundreds injured.
Among the hardest-hit areas are known tourist destinations such as Bohol, Cebu, Siargao, and Dinagat Islands. The Philippine government has already earmarked P2 billion for provinces affected by typhoon Odette as help from the private sector and non-government organizations continue to pour in. But many of the displaced residents are still struggling to secure basic necessities such as food, clean water, and housing, while power and internet signal remain sporadic in hard-hit areas.
The Beat Asia compiled a list of organizations that are accepting in-kind and cash donations to help the survivors of typhoon Odette get back on their feet. Please refresh this page as we add more organizations to this list.
