Love Conquers All: Quezon City to Host Commitment Ceremonies For LGBT
Love knows no gender in Quezon City!
Continuing its annual tradition, the Quezon City local government is set to host another “commitment ceremony” for the LGBTQIA+ community to strengthen their love and uphold their rights.
“Quezon City is a gender-fair city where the LGBT community is treated with respect and equality. This love month, the Office of the Mayor and QC Gender and Development (GAD) Council will be sponsoring a commitment ceremony [for] LGBT couples,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said in a statement.
LGBTQIA+ couples who plan to participate in the “commitment ceremony” must submit a barangay certificate, accomplished registration form, applicant photos, and a valid QC identification card via [email protected].
Registrants may also bring the requirements directly to the QC GAD Council office.
Last February 2022, more than 200 queer couples walked down the aisle and exchanged their vows in a special tie-up ceremony officiated by Mayor Joy.
