Delish News: New Menus, Pop-Ups, and Restaurants This March 2024

Delish News March 2024 MNL

In the busy streets of Metro Manila, there are always new restaurants sprouting here and there waiting to be explored. Whether you're hankering for something sweet or drooling for something savory, The Beat Manila has some of the hottest bites and spots for you to try this month!

Shake Shack Brings Gochujang Chicken Burger, Fries, and Bites Back

In case you missed it, Shake Shack’s Gochujang chicken sandwich, fries, and bites recently made a comeback in the Philippines. Last seen (and tasted) in 2021, these yummy eats are now available in their outlets again. Made with spicy-sweet gochujang-glazed crispy chicken breast, kimchi slaw, and toasted sesame seeds, the sandwich will surely tickle your taste buds! The chicken bites and fries, on the other hand, are drizzled with spicy-sweet gochujang mayo sauce for that perfect combination.

Starbucks Drops New Food Inspired by Springtime

With Starbucks’ ever-evolving menu, there’s always something new to try every now and then. The coffee brand just added new items inspired by springtime ranging from pasta to pastries! Perfect for people with love for sweet and creamy flavors, you can go for the Mango Coco Sans Rival Cake, or if you prefer nutty with a hint of bitterness, you can opt for the Black Sesame Crepe Cake. Adding to the lineup of pastries, they also have Plant-Based Chocolate Chip Cookie and Sakura Doughnut, which, by the way, match their newly released drinkware collection! Now for the savory options, they offer Cheesy Brioche Bun, Sausage Ragu, and Mushroom Melt.

7-Eleven Introduces New Menu Items

For our besties on a budget, this one’s for you! If you’re familiar with 7-Eleven eats, then you know that they are constantly introducing new items. Perfect for the no-meat practice this Lent season, they just dropped the all-new Gochujang Siopao (P43) made with plant-based giniling, Korean chili paste, and kimchi! They also added Sinigang na Bangus and Bangus Steak to the Big Time Meals menu, offering the comfort of a home-cooked meal.

Of course, if you're looking forward to eating meat, their Romantic Baboy collab adds new options for your next Korean meal cravings: Jeyuk Rice Bowl, Beef Bulgogi Set, and Samgyup Gimbap. There’s always room for dessert, so you might want to try the messy bun loaded with either chocolate or strawberry filling, too.

Rebel Bakeshop’s Pop-Up in Yardstick Coffee’s Greenbelt Branch

We all know pastries go well together with coffee. That’s why we’re happy to share the news that Baguio’s Rebel Bakehouse partnered up with Yardstick Coffee for a pop-up in Yardstick’s Greenbelt branch until June 1. They have Butter Croissant, Twice-baked Almond, Classic Pain Au Chocolat, and more to offer for those who would drop by. So, if you’re looking for a new spot to grab coffee and baked goodies for breakfast or meryenda, add this to your list!

Location: Rebel Bakehouse Pop-Up at Yardstick Coffee, 4/F Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, Greenbelt Park Walkways, Makati City

El Union Arrives in Bonifacio Global City (BGC)

Following the success of their partnership with Type A Coffee last year, the famous El Union has finally opened their shop “Del Union” in BGC. Popular among patrons who love going to Elyu, the coffee shop has introduced new additions to their menu that celebrate northern roots and produce. Don’t worry! They still have Dirty Horchata in their beverage options, along with their much-loved creations from their coffee shop in San Juan, La Union.

Location: Del Union, 3/F Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street, BGC

Manduca Opens a New Branch in One Ayala

Adding to the roster of new food spots around the Metro, Manduca opens a new branch at One Ayala. Perfect for those looking for new restaurants to try for brunch or a quick meet-up with friends before heading home. The new outlet offers the same menu — pasta, tapas, pica picas, salads, and more!

Location: Manduca Taberna, Ground Floor, One Ayala Mall, Ayala Avenue, Makati City
