Find New Home for Your Old Possessions With These Four Decluttering Groups on Facebook

They say, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

This is especially true in the world of decluttering. Those old books collecting dust on your shelf or empty mason jars you used to take home from Army Navy could be useful for someone else. Thanks to Facebook, getting rid of items that we no longer use has become more convenient. If, like us, you are in the never-ending process of organizing your belongings, here are four decluttering groups on Facebook that will help you find a new home for your “trash.”

Buhay Zero-Waste Pre-Loved

This decluttering group on Facebook promotes zero-waste living, which refers to conscious lifestyle choices that aim to reduce our carbon footprints. Buhay Zero-Waste Pre-Loved wants to connect people who have items that they no longer want to other people who might want or have a use for those possessions. This group is tied to Buhay Zero-Waste, a Facebook page dedicated to reducing the amount of waste one produces per day through sharing of best practices and knowledge resources.

Anything to Declutter PH

“Don’t need it? Donate it!”

That is the mantra of Anything to Declutter PH, a private Facebook group that helps reduce our landfill contribution by finding new owners for old items. Like Buhay Zero-Waste Pre-Loved, Anything to Declutter PH lets users post their items and anyone who comments “mine” first will get dibs on the said items. The shipping fee is usually covered by the recipient, but all items posted on the page are free of charge.

To date, Anything to Declutter PH has more than 23,000 members. Join their page here.
