Missing AHEB Already? A Parokya ni Edgar Musical is Coming in 2024!

Theater fans, you must be feeling blue after “Ang Huling El Bimbo” (often referred to as AHEB by fans) officially took its last stage yesterday, July 23. Fret not, because a new nostalgia-filled musical might be coming your way soon!

Full House Theater Company, the production house behind AHEB, teased the upcoming stage in the show’s curtain call, showing a screen that says, “Abangan 2024” (Watch out 2024) along with the cast singing the band’s popular song “Harana.”

The video teaser featured illustrations of a guitar, a slice of pizza, a moustache, two beer bottles, and a bird. Fans guessed that the icons might be pertaining to beloved Pinoy band Parokya ni Edgar’s hits “Harana,” “Picha Pie,” “Mr. Suave,” “Inuman Na!” and “Don’t Touch My Birdie,” respectively, hinting at a musical featuring the band’s iconic songs.

Musical actor Red Nuestro, who was a part of the AHEB production, also posted the teaser via his Facebook page. He likewise shared a QR code that fans can scan to input their guesses on what the new musical will be. According to the post, the first 200 people who can guess what the next musical will be staged next will win tickets to a special preview.
