Hot off the announcement that South Korea’s Asia Artist Awards 2023 (AAA) will take place in the Philippines, the award-giving body has unveiled its first wave of performers, which includes some of today’s hottest K-pop artists.

The artists who will be dominating the Philippine Arena stage this coming Dec. 14 are NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, BOYNEXTDOOR, and ZEROBASEONE (ZB1), AAA said in a press statement on Sept. 2.

Happee Sy-Go of PULP Live World, one of the ceremony’s organizers, also confirmed the lineup in an X (formerly Twitter) post. According to her, this is just the first wave of AAA 2023’s performer lineup, so fans can look forward to another set of big artists in Asia in attendance.

NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, and NMIXX are three of the biggest K-Pop girl groups today, who have recently released chart-topping hits such as “Super Shy,” “Unforgiven,” and “Roller Coaster,” respectively.

Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE and BOYNEXTDOOR are rising stars loved by both local and global fans and are pegged to open doors to the “fifth generation of K-Pop.”

This year's ceremony will be hosted by the AAA Organizing Committee, South Korean media outlet Starnews Korea, TONZ Entertainment, and Philippine-based production company PULP Live World.

More performers will be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled for updates via AAA’s website.
