South Korea’s Famous Waterbomb Festival to Make a Splash in Manila in 2025

Manila’s never-ending summer is about to get cooler!
South Korea’s famous summer music festival, Waterbomb, is set to make a splash in the Philippines for the first time ever! Set to happen from Feb. 22 to 23, 2025, at the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park, Filipino festivalgoers can expect lots of water battles, paired with upbeat pop, hip-hop, and EDM music acts, and amped-up energy you’ll never see anywhere else.

The organizers of the Waterbomb festival originally announced that the event would be held at the Metrowalk Ortigas from Feb. 8 to 9 but changed it after taking fans’ concerns into account. “Rest assured we are fully committed to ensuring the maximum safety and the best experience for you. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities,” organizers said in a statement.
The organizers also noted that the artist line-up for Waterbomb Manila will be announced later this month. Since the festival’s announcement, fans and future Waterbomb-goers have been listing the artists they wish to see as part of the line-up.
Popular names and groups that have been coming up on people’s lists were a mix of K-pop, K-hip hop, and K-R&B artists such as Jay Park, Hwasa, CL, Simon D, B.I., Gray, Loco, Kiss of Life, MAMAMOO, ATEEZ, Jessi, Black Swan, BIBI, Sandara Park, and Nayeon.
