Japanese liquor is having its moment.

Sake Manila 2026 is set to take over the Grand Ballroom at Okada Manila on May 22, 2026, bringing back one of the city’s most anticipated nights for drinks, discovery, and everything in between.

Happening from 5 PM to 12 AM, the space transforms into a full-scale tasting floor, with over 200 sakes from 50-plus Japanese breweries on pour. Beyond sake, the Japanese liquor lineup stretches across whiskey, gin, shochu, liqueurs, beer, wine, and amazake — all paired with Japanese bites and a live entertainment program to keep the spirits high and pouring.

Part tasting, part party, the night leans into a more social, free-flowing format — designed for moving in-between pours, discovering new favorites, and staying a little longer than planned.

Medium Rare is set to return with its “Kaleidoscope Edition,” taking over Salon de Ning at The Peninsula Manila for a night of music, art, and dining.

Running from 7 PM to 4 AM, the event brings together a multi-sensory program where sound, visuals, and gastronomy converge. The experience is anchored by a curated sonic journey — moving from neoclassical and ambient sets to high-energy electronic beats as the night unfolds.

The “Kaleidoscope Edition” is described as the community’s “most unexpected” one of the year, featuring three international artists and six local DJs on its lineup.

Leading the international lineup is Spanish electronic music producer Pablo Bolívar, whose beats echo a nearly three-decade experience of deep, atmospheric techno. He is joined by Italian composers Lorenzo Travaglini and Davide Semmarchi of Bosco Studio, marking their first-ever performance in Asia with their piano-driven, cinematic soundscapes.

Chele González, an award-winning chef renowned for his restaurants Gallery by Chele and Asador Alfonso, is one of the minds behind Medium Rare. His long-standing connection to Manila’s food scene forms part of Medium Rare’s events.

“Medium Rare first started as a personal idea to merge two art forms I deeply care about: gastronomy and music,” Chele explains in a statement. “The word ‘Medium’ represents the space where these two meet, while ‘Rare’ reflects our desire to present something unique beyond the mainstream.”

Alongside him is Samantha Nicole, whose work in the underground electronic music scene continues to shape the events’ tone and direction.

At Medium Rare, music, art, and gastronomy find a way to fuse together to create something mind-blowing.

Guests can choose between two ticket options, with ticket prices starting at an early bird rate of P2,200 and a regular price of P2,500. Later access starts at P1,200, with door prices at P1,500.
