2. BGC Art Mart Promo

4. 5th PCCI Cares Fun Run for a Cause 2023

Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun and engaging activity, you might want to check out this fun run open to everyone, including pets! The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) will be hosting a fun run for a cause, and as part of the event, participants will engage in a synchronized Zumba workout for one hour before the run.

Lucky participants will be given special prizes and more freebies. Proceeds from the event will go to the PCCI Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Program. You may register here.

5. 'Intersectionality' Exhibition

The “Intersectionality” exhibition at Provenance Art Gallery is a group show featuring artworks by local artists. It will highlight how overlapping events in people's lives can lead to opportunities lost in a split second as life flashes before their eyes. The artists’ works aim to convey feelings such as happiness, regret, loss, triumph, and hope to visitors, and remind us that no matter what happens, we are the “captain of [our] soul.”

The exhibition kicked off last May 13 and will continue until this coming Monday.

6. Book Signing With ‘Celebrating Hope After A Storm’s’ Authors

8. Larry Alcala’s Travelling Exhibition 2023

As part of the National Heritage Month, Museo ng Makati has mounted an exhibit showcasing the works of Larry Alcala, an icon who helped sketch the landscape of Philippine comics. A National Artist for Visual Arts, Alcala was known for his serialized cartoons depicting Pinoy’s everyday life. The exhibit, titled “Slices of Life, Wit, and Humor” after his namesake weekly magazine illustrations, pays tribute to the man who breathed new life into the complexities and mundanities of living in the Philippines: the sari-sari store, gossips, jeepneys and tricycles, and the locals who make all these colorful.

Manila’s about to get even hotter this July. And no, not because it’s still summer. 

South Korean actor Park Seo-jun will be returning to Manila this July 12, 2025, for the Century Tuna Fit For Any Role Ultimate Fan Fest at the Smart Araneta Coliseum

Returning for the second time in less than two years, with his last visit in 2023, Park Seo-jun will once again spend time with his Filipino fans and capture their hearts with his unique charm and aura.

The “Century Tuna Presents: Fit For Any Role: Park Seo-jun Live At Araneta Coliseum” is presented by Wilbros Live. Ticketing details will be announced on a future date. 

The 36-year-old actor is renowned for his roles in popular K-Dramas “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior” (2016), “Fight For My Way” (2017), “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” (2018), and “Itaewon Class” (2020). 

He has also appeared in movies like “Midnight Runners” (2017), “The Divine Fury” (2019), and had a guest appearance in the Oscar-winning film “Parasite” (2019) by Bong Joon-ho as Choi Woo-shik’s friend. 

Park Seo-jun made his Hollywood debut in 2023 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film, “The Marvels” as Prince Yan of Aladna, Captain Marvel’s husband. 

His most recent roles were for the historical mystery-thriller television series “Gyeongseong Creature” (2023-2024), starring alongside Han So-hee, sports-comedy drama film “Dream” (2023), also starring IU, and “Concrete Utopia” (2023) with Lee Byung-hun and Park Bo-young. 

He is also known for his appearances on reality shows, most prominently in “Youn’s Kitchen” (2018), “Youn’s Stay” (2021), and “Jinny’s Kitchen” (2023-2024). 

In the Philippines, Park Seo-jun has endorsed numerous brands such as BYS Cosmetics, IAM Worldwide, Bench, and more.

¡Felíz el Día Internacional del Libro! (Happy International Book Day!)

Books have always opened new worlds for everyone who reads them, and for that, they are worth celebrating. 

Celebrate World Book Day at the Ayala Triangle Gardens this Apr. 26, 2025, with Instituto Cervantes de Manila’s annual Dia del Libro!

Together with the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines, and in collaboration with Ayala Land and Make It Makati, this annual, one-day book fair will be jam-packed with exciting activities for all ages from 9 AM to 11 PM

You can expect a book fair with everything from fiction to non-fiction, and poetry to prose by some of Metro Manila’s best bookstores and publishers, with everything at a 20% discount. Plus, as with Spanish tradition every World Book Day, you’ll receive a rose with every purchase.

One of the annual book fair’s highlights is the Escribo el Quijote, in commemoration of the greatest writer in the Spanish language, Miguel de Cervantes. Starting at 9:30 AM, participants will be challenged by Instituto Cervantes to handwrite the novel “Don Quijote” by Cervantes. Those participating will also be receiving a rose. 

Other activities include a storytelling session of “El Cartero Simpatico” (The friendly mailman) for kids, a Test Your Spanish booth, a book presentation El español en Filipinas” by Vibal Publishing, workshops, an Amazing Race called Universitario Yincana, poetry readings, and much more!

Popularly known for his portrayal of Jungo Aoki in the hit K-Drama “What Comes After Love” (2024) and Kazuto Manabe in the Japanese film “The Last 10 Years” (2022), Kentaro Sakaguchi is flying to the Philippines for an intimate fan experience that will surely make for an unforgettable night for all attendees! Kentaro made his debut as a fashion model before transitioning into acting, where he easily became one of Japan’s most beloved stars. His breakthrough roles in “Heroine Shikkaku” (2015) and “Ore Monogatari!!” (2015) put him on the map, winning him the Best New Actor award at the 11th Osaka Cinema Festival. 

He was also recognized as Newcomer of the Year at the 40th Japan Academy Film Prize, and more recently at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), where he won the Best Actor and Asia Star Award. Despite this upcoming event being his first fan meet in Manila, the actor has already visited the country when he attended the 2023 AAA in Bulacan, where he bagged the Best Artist Award (Actor) and Asia Celebrity Award.

Filipino Rock Band Moonstar88 Celebrates their 25th Anniversary this May

Filipino rock, pop-alternative band Moonstar88 is celebrating 25 years since their formation with a concert titled “25 Years of Torete” with the Metro Manila Concert Orchestra this May 24, 2025, at Eton Centris, Quezon City

Presented by Eton Centris, Eton Properties Philippines Inc., Soupstar Music, and Redlines Entertainment Productions, the concert is anticipated to honor Moonstar88’s colorful and influential music throughout the years. The title of the concert, “25 Years of Torete,” pays tribute to one of their most recognized songs, “Torete,” which was part of their debut album “Popcorn” released in 2000.

Moonstar88: 25 Years of Filipino Rock, Pop-Alt Excellence

Known for their love anthems “Toreteand “Migraine,” and for their covers of Pinoy classics like “Panalangin,” “Senti,” and “Pag-ibig Kong Ito,” Moonstar88 was formed in February 1999 in Manila, Philippines

Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Maysh Baay, drummist/vocalist Bon Sundiang, and lead guitarist Herbert Hernandez, Moonstar88 is a staple in the Filipino music scene, and one of the pillars of the late ‘90s and early 2000s music along with their contemporaries 6cyclemind, Imago, Sandwich, Callalily, and Pedicab. 

They have six studio albums and one EP in their repertoire, with their most recent release being “Lourdes 2088” in 2023. Moonstar88 has also won awards throughout the years, with their song “Parola” recently winning the “Rock/Alternative Song of the Year” Award at the 2024 Wish 107.5 Music Awards.
