Seiko Unveils Banaue Rice Terraces-Inspired Prospex Watch

This Limited-Edition Seiko Watch Is Inspired by the Banaue Rice Terraces

Seiko Philippines has added a new timepiece to its Prospex collection! This time, the brand incorporates one of the country's most majestic cultural treasures into its design.

Inspired by the breathtaking Banaue Rice Terraces in the Cordilleras, the fourth Seiko Prospex Philippine Limited-Edition watch features a ridged design and a bright green hue, reminiscent of the terraces’ iconic layout.

The newest Seiko Prospex watch is exclusively available in the Philippines, and there are only 1,500 pieces made. They can be purchased in various Seiko boutiques and authorized retailers nationwide, including Seiko shops in Glorietta 1, SM Megamall, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Ayala Center Cebu, retailers Watch Central, Chronos, and Time Depot, among others.

To make the watch more special, Seiko also collaborated with the non-profit organization Save the Ifugao Terraces Movement (SITMo) to support their initiatives towards the preservation and conservation of the Banaue Rice Terraces.

Since 2020, Seiko Philippines has been releasing Prospex watches inspired by the country’s “timeless wonders.” Last year, the brand released its Philippine Eagle-inspired watch, made in cooperation with the Philippine Eagle Foundation.

The Banaue-inspired Seiko Prospex Philippine Limited-Edition watch is available starting today, Nov. 21, and retails at P45,000. Learn more about it by following Seiko Philippines’ Instagram page.
