Known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern architecture, and often referred to as the “Garden City,” much of the city-state’s beauty could be attributed to its abundance of green spaces and clean environment. And they happen to have some of the best spots for brunch, too! Below, we’ve put together a list of the best brunch restaurants and cafes in Singapore for days that are less hectic — because, hey, you deserve those slow, late mornings, too.

Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro

With its name derived from the Swedish word “fika” (which means a moment to slow down, recharge, and appreciate the good things), Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro could not be more perfect for those seeking just that.

Located in a cozy setting, Fika serves home-cooked and traditional Swedish meals that just scream comfort. To start your day right, you may opt for their breakfast menu, which includes Fika Breakfast (S$23), Granola Oatmeal Breakfast (S$22), and Hard Rye Crispbread With Toppings (S$9). With specialty-grade coffees harvested from different farms around the world, guests are promised to be served only quality coffees at Atlas Coffeehouse. Apart from that, which was a good starter in itself, their menu features brunch staples like fruit bowls, croquettes, salads, sandwiches, waffles, and a lot more. It’s just an added bonus that the place radiates such a comforting vibe, making it a perfect brunch spot.

Let’s face it: we don’t just look for a place with good food. Sometimes, we want aesthetically pleasing spots for our well-curated Instagram feeds. Luckily, Marymount Bakehouse SG offers the best of both worlds. With an eye-catching warm interior and handcrafted bread options, brunch dates could easily turn into a day well spent.

It’s also highly regarded for its impressive menu offerings.

Located at 111 Telok Ayer Street, AiFOKATO blends artisanal gelato with coffee craftsmanship and Asian dessert trends.

Guests can enjoy sculpted gelato paired with freshly poured espresso, matcha, or chocolate, or opt for the visually layered “-86 Dirty Coffee,” a hot-over-cold drink that’s almost like the ongoing “dirty coffee” craze sweeping over Asia.

The menu also features Butter Mochi, also known as Butter Tteok — a soft, chewy, and buttery dessert that’s popular in South Korea — alongside a curated selection of gelato flavors including Madagascar vanilla, pistachio, matcha, and dark chocolate.

From bustling hawker centres to traditional wet markets, you’ll surely have your cravings satisfied in this vibrant, bustling city-state.

It’s a given that Singapore is a beautiful, technologically advanced city-state. However, it can also be really expensive. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or have explored Singapore a few times already, knowing your way around some budget-friendly finds is always a must, especially when it comes to food.

In this article, we’ve rounded up some of the best food markets in Singapore, where quality and affordability meet.

Maxwell Food Centre

You know the area serves good dishes when it frequently has long queues — so let the heavy crowd speak for itself. Maxwell Food Centre is a go-to spot for authentic Singaporean flavor, often considered a favorite place for tourists and locals alike, with Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice standing out as a crowd favorite.

One downside about Maxwell Food Centre, however, is that you’ll often find the spot packed with massive crowds. But sometimes, a quality, well-priced meal requires a little bit of waiting (sometimes even a long wait). Despite that, you’re always guaranteed a “worth the wait” moment. And if you really want to try the food but don’t want the hassle of a long queue, it’s best to visit the area outside of peak hours.

Old Airport Road

One of the beloved hawker centers in Singapore, Old Airport Road takes pride not only in its longevity but also in some of the best stalls you can only find in the area. After all, in a space with over 100 stalls, it’s nearly impossible not to find a spot that will best match your cravings. And it’s considerably away from heavy crowds, so if you want a more subdued dining experience, this spot might be the best option for you.

Having been around since the 1970s, Old Airport Road wasn’t only a place with many food stalls — it’s also one that carries deep, cultural significance. Some of the most-recommended stalls include Western Barbeque, Cho Kee Noodle, Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodles, Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee, Xiang Ji Lor Mee, Qiu Rong Ban Mian, and more.

Tiong Bahru Food Centre

A visit to Tiong Bahru could evoke a nostalgic feeling, as it is one of the oldest residential neighborhoods in Singapore. Of course, you may also want to try the food market while you’re at it. Some of its famous hawker delights include Lor Mee 178, Hong Heng Fried Sotong Prawn Mee, Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice, and Jian Bo Shui Kueh.

Located on the opposite side of the Golden Mile Complex (which most tourists often confuse with the actual hawker centre), it is also known for its variety of stalls that offer a wide range of affordable and authentic local cuisine.

With food options ranging from Indian, Indonesian, Malay, and Chinese delicacies, some of the must-try stalls in the area include Fried Kway Teow Mee, Keng Heng Whampoa Teochew Lor Mee, Flourful Delight, and Zhao An Granny Grass Jelly, among a handful of others.

Lau Pa Sat

Hailed as one of the most popular hawker centers in Singapore, Lau Pa Sat is perfect for food crawlers coming in late at night, as some stalls operate 24 hours a day. While most stalls in the area are definitely must-tries, one of the main reasons why people flock to Lau Pa Sat is Satay Street, Singapore’s largest open-air street catered for satay lovers. The place is a great spot for someone wanting to immerse themselves in Singapore’s rich culinary heritage, all while enjoying grilled satay skewers sizzling over the lively, busy street.

As one of the largest food markets in Singapore, Chinatown Complex Food Centre pretty much has to be on every food lover’s itinerary. If you’re already in Chinatown, it’s best to visit its food center, which offers not only great local traditional dishes but affordable ones too.

A New Spanish Courtyard Dining Experience Opens in CHIJMES This April

A new Spanish dining spot is set to bring the spirit of tapas culture to Singapore’s central business district.

Opening on Apr. 1, 2026, Sabòr is a 100-seat concept located within the historic grounds of CHIJMES. The restaurant introduces a vibrant courtyard dining experience inspired by Spain’s vibrant tapas scene, pairing bold, rustic flavors with a lively, convivial atmosphere right in the heart of the CBD.

Backed by the team behind Duomo Ristorante, Sabòr marks their expansion into Spanish cuisine. The space features a glass-enclosed dining room alongside an open courtyard terrace, designed to shift from relaxed afternoons to energetic evening dinners and sobremesa.

The menu centers on soulful tapas and robust mains for sharing, with dishes such as Croquetas Spicy Crab, Bikini Sobrasada with Honey and Cheese, Angus Steak with Piquillo Peppers, and Grilled Barramundi with Moho Picón finished over binchotan. Paellas also take center stage, ranging from classic interpretations to richer variations such as Grilled Wagyu Beef and Pork and Scallops.

The culinary direction is led by Valencian-born Chef-Consultant Javier Vicente Rejas, co-founder of the London Paella School and a familiar presence in Singapore’s Spanish dining scene, including FOC. His approach emphasizes authenticity and technique, with a focus on traditional execution with bold, expressive flavors.

Beyond the kitchen, Sabòralso integrates curated music programming into its dining experience, creating a lively social atmosphere that reflects Spain’s communal dining culture. A dedicated happy hour also runs from 4:30 to 6:30 PM every day.

China’s Beloved Milk Tea Shop Molly Tea Opens First Outlet in Singapore

A new, go-to bubble tea spot has arrived on Singapore’s busiest shopping street earlier this month!

Chinese bubble tea chain Molly Tea has finally opened its first Singapore outpost at Orchard Central, marking the brand’s local debut with its largest Southeast Asia store to date.

Founded in Shenzhen in 2021, the jasmine-inspired tea brand has expanded rapidly, now operating more than 2,000 outlets worldwide across markets including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

The Singapore outlet opened its doors to the public on Mar. 6, 2026, with the space spanning around 1,400 square feet. Inside, Molly Tea’s signature soft pink tones and elegant floral elements decorate the store, with Molly — the brand’s mascot — dressed in a Merlion costume.

Known for its fragrant tea blends and fruit- and floral-forward flavors, Molly Tea offers an experience beyond the drink — but a gift of aroma, a moment of stillness, and a quiet connection.

Hong Kong’s cult-favorite neighborhood café Elephant Grounds has finally opened its first flagship outlets in Singapore and Jakarta!

Founded in 2013, Elephant Grounds is Leading Nation Hospitality Group’s flagship café brand, known for its sophisticated blend of specialty coffee with a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere. Starting off as a small kiosk in Sheung Wan, the brand has grown to be one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated café names, renowned for its special in-house roasted beans, Japanese-inspired menus, and artisanal pastries.

With its “Coffee n Chill” ethos, Elephant Grounds reflects Leading Nation’s commitment to building neighborhood culture across Asia.

Newly opened at Singapore’s Guoco Midtown Network Hub, the flagship café features Elephant Grounds’ signature bright, nature-inspired design. It offers a full all-day dining program, house-made ice cream, and pastries baked fresh daily in an on-site kitchen — the first dedicated production facility outside Hong Kong.

“The opening of Elephant Grounds in Singapore and Jakarta makes a pivotal step into new markets,” said Co-Founder Gerald Li. “As we expand regionally, we will continue to scale our original concepts in regional markets, while remaining focused on what we do best — guest experience and innovative concepts.”

Elephant Grounds currently operates eight outlets in Hong Kong and two in Manila, serving as important pillars of Leading Nation’s growing portfolio. The group continues to develop its presence through strategic multi-regional partnerships and projects, including the recently opened “JIJA,” an exclusive partnership with Michelin-starred chef Vicky Lau at the Kimpton Hong Kong.

If you love visiting Jigger & Pony but want to try something new, Uno Jang has something just right up your alley — in the heart of Singapore’s “Korea Town.”

BOP (Bartenders of Pony), a Korean-inspired cocktail dining bar by Jigger & Pony Group officially opened on Jan. 31, 2026, at 76 Tras Street, just steps away from its sister bar Jigger & Pony.

Blending craft cocktails with bold Korean flavors, this new space is designed for relaxed evenings, shared plates, and long conversations. BOP aims to balance refined mixology with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’ll easily transport visitors to Itaewon and Hongdae.

The bar is led by head bartender Uno Jang, together with Berry Lim, Basil Wong, Eric Chang, Max Gan, and Brandon Gan, bringing together a team known for its generous and convivial approach to guests.

BOP’s cocktail menu is centered around Korean pop culture and drinking rituals, highlighting Korean traditional spirits like soju, cheongju, and makgeolli. Expect drinks inspired by buldak noodles, Dalgona iced coffee, and even a perilla garden, for S$23 per cocktail.

The food also shares the same concept, which was formulated in collaboration with Culinary Class Wars Season 1 alum Chef Jason Oh. Visitors can expect Korean favorites such as Kimchi Pork Mandu, Crispy Fried Chicken, and Seafood Pancake, which complement the beverages perfectly.

BOP is located on 76 Tras Street, Singapore, and is now accepting reservations through their website. The bar will be open from 6 PM to 1 AM from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and Sundays, and from 6 PM to 2 AM from Fridays to Saturdays. Happy hours run daily from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.
