The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix returns to the Marina Bay Street Circuit from Oct. 9 to 11, 2026, bringing three days of night racing, live music, and enough activities to turn a Grand Prix ticket into a full-blown festival pass.

Singapore is Round 17 of the 23-race 2026 Formula 1 season, putting it deep into a calendar that began in Australia in March and will finish in Abu Dhabi in December. Before arriving at Marina Bay, the championship travels through Australia, China, and Japan early in the season, followed by races across North America and Europe, including Monaco, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy, and Spain.

For fans traveling around Asia, Singapore is one of several accessible stops. The Australian Grand Prix ran last March, followed by China and Japan. Singapore arrives in October, before the race heads to United States, Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar, and finally, Abu Dhabi from Dec. 4 to 6, 2026.

What to Watch at the Singapore Grand Prix

Friday starts with first practice from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by Sprint Qualifying from 8:30 to 9:14 PM. Saturday brings the 21-lap Sprint at 5 PM, then the Main Qualifying Session from 9 to 10 PM.

Sunday is the big one. The Driver's Parade runs from 6 to 6:30 PM, followed by the national anthem shortly before 8 PM. The 62-lap Singapore Grand Prix begins at 8 PM and is scheduled to finish at 10 PM.

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia also runs throughout the weekend, with practice on Friday, qualifying and its first race on Saturday, and a second race on Sunday afternoon.

How to Get to Circuit Park

Leave the car at home (or at the hotel).

Because Formula 1 takes over the streets around Marina Bay, road closures mean parking near Circuit Park will be limited. Organizers strongly recommend using public transport, with six MRT stations within walking distance of the venue. Check your ticket before leaving, as your designated gate will determine which section is most convenient.

Train services will operate throughout the weekend with increased capacity. Services from City Hall MRT will be extended until 12:30 AM on Friday and Saturday, and up to 12:45 AM on Sunday.

Contactless credit and debit cards, mobile wallets, SimplyGo EZ-Link and NETS Prepaid cards, and Singapore Tourist Passes can be used for public transport. Foreign-issued bank cards may incur additional administrative fees.

What to Bring and What to Leave Behind

Just a friendly reminder that Circuit Park covers 772,000 square meters of space. Please wear comfortable shoes you can easily use for hours.

Singapore's heat and humidity also means preparing for rain or shine. Wear sunscreen and a cap. Guests may bring one water bottle of up to 1 liter each and refill it at water points throughout Circuit Park.

Outside food and drinks are prohibited. Other no-go items include flares, personal vaporizers, corporate flags and banners, and cameras with telephoto or zoom lenses whose combined physical length exceeds 300 millimeters.

Keep your bag small, too. Traveling light means quicker security checks at the gates.

The event continues whether it rains or not, but umbrellas cannot be used in the grandstands because they obstruct other spectators' views. Bring a poncho or raincoat instead. Ponchos are also available for purchase at the official merchandise booths.

Come for F1, Stay for the Music

The fun doesn't start and end with the races, however, because Singapore F1 Grand Prix boasts a music lineup that rivals most festivals.

Zone 4 is accessible to all ticketholders and includes several lifestyle precincts, the F1 Village, and Padang Stage. Friday features CORTIS and Singaporean star JJ Lin, while Saturday has Zara Larsson before F1 Qualifying and The Killers afterward.

Sunday requires some strategic thinking. James Arthur performs at Padang from 6:15 PM, while Janet Jackson takes the Wharf Stage in Zone 1 at the same time. The Grand Prix starts at 8 PM, with Lana Del Rey closing out the weekend at Padang from 10:25 to 11:55 PM.

Zone 1 and 2 ticketholders get even more options. The Wharf Stage hosts the F1 Drivers' Fan Forum on Friday and Saturday, while the Barge Stage lineup includes TOKiMONSTA, Major Lazer Soundsystem, DJ Snake, Rev Run, ZHU, and Mark Ronson across the weekend.

Fans in Zones 1 and 2 can also try racing simulators and the Pit Stop Challenge, visit the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia support paddock during designated sessions, or take a complimentary ride on the Singapore Flyer on a first-come, first-served basis.

After the final track activity each day, Zone 1 and 2 patrons can also walk portions of the circuit once safety checks are completed.

Final Tips

Wi-Fi is available at patron gates and Information Booths, while live race commentary is broadcast through public-address speakers around the circuit. If your phone loses battery, power bank rentals are also available.

For concerts, arriving early matters. Fan Zones operate on a first-come, first-served basis and re-entry may not be possible if capacity is reached. Wheelchair-accessible viewing is available at the Padang Stage, while families with young children can use designated Family Pens near Connaught Drive.
