Pizzeria From Romcom Movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ Is Opening in SG This April

A lot of new food spots have been opening around the city, and none has been disappointing so far for pizza lovers. Adding to the growing list of new places to visit is the famous L’antica Pizzeria da Michele from Naples, Italy.

If you’ve watched the 2010 romantic comedy film “Eat, Pray, Love,” you might have seen them already. Remember when Julia Roberts chomped on an entire Margherita pizza? Yup, that’s theirs! They are reported to be coming to the country in April, bringing their handmade Neapolitan-style or “cartwheel” pizzas to Singapore foodies, along with pasta, cocktails, wines, and more.

Listed in the Michelin Guide, the L’antica Pizzeria da Michele is said to have been founded in 1870 and is only serving two pizza flavours in their original store: Marinara and Margherita. To last this long while having limited options only means one thing – their pizzas must be THAT good! Believe celebrity chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay when he says it’s a “must-visit for any pizza lover.”

Although they draw lines daily, only a few people get to have a taste. To ensure that the kitchen won’t get too busy and that diners can savour their food at its best quality, they issue numbered tickets. So, be the first to get in line when they open if you want to have a taste!
