Taiwan’s Onigiri Planet Opens First Overseas Branch in Singapore
Heads up, foodies! Taiwan’s Onigiri Planet has finally opened its first overseas branch in Singapore. Located at B2-36 in Hillion Mall, this is your chance to try their delicious take on Japan’s popular snack.
You might be asking, “Isn’t onigiri triangular?” Yes, it is! But in other places in Japan, particularly in Okinawa, it takes another form — something similar to a sandwich called pork tamago onigiri.
While Okinawa’s well-known comfort food is mostly made of spam and egg, Onigiri Planet takes theirs to a different level. Their onigiri comes in different unique flavours, such as Grilled Mentaiko (S$5.50), Kimchi Chicken (S$6.90), Chicken Karaage (S$6.90), Ebi Tempura (S$6.90), Smoky Chicken (S$6.90), and Peanut Butter Katsu (S$6.90).
They also offer sides for S$3.60, such as Creamy Croquette and Mentaiko Fries, and drinks for S$2.30, such as Black Tea, Green Tea, and Honey Lemon.
