Fully Vaxxed Singaporeans Allowed to Travel to Australia Quarantine-Free From Nov. 21
Fully vaccinated Singaporeans will finally be allowed to travel to Australia quarantine-free starting Nov. 21 as part of Australia's safe reopening of its borders.
Fully vaccinated Singaporeans travelling from Singapore must only present a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) taken within 72 hours of departure. According to a press release from the Prime Minister of Australia on Nov. 1, this development was announced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Rome after a meeting with Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong.
The announcement comes on the heels of Singapore's extension of its Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme to Australia and Switzerland, announced Oct. 26, for entry into Singapore beginning Nov. 8.
Under the VTL, fully vaccinated travellers from Australia and Switzerland may enter the city-state without quarantine and are only required to undergo PCR testing. Unvaccinated children aged 12 and below are allowed to travel to Singapore granted they are accompanied by a VTL traveller who meets all the requirements.
