In celebration of Singapore Cable Car’s 50th anniversary, the attraction recently launched the SkyOrb Cabins on the Mount Faber Line, offering guests a one-of-a-kind experience.

These cabins are the world’s first-ever spherical-shaped cable car cabins with chrome finish. To complete the futuristic look, lighted rings line the windows. They also have glass flooring allowing visitors to admire the beautiful landscapes of Mount Faber Peak, Harbourfront, and Sentosa just beneath their feet and, of course, the skyline outside their windows.

Although they look sealed (SOS for claustrophobes!), don’t worry — these cable cars have enhanced ventilation! With the improved design of the window louvers, you can rest assured that you’ll have a breezy and comfortable journey.

As of writing, only seven SkyOrb Cabins are in use, so don’t miss out on this experience! You can get your get your tickets at Mount Faber and Sentosa Cable Car Station counters. For those who own Cable Car Sky Passes and Faber Licence members, you can have a one-way upgrade for S$15 per person.

Aside from the SkyOrb Cabins, they also unveiled the Poke Ball cable cars for the anniversary. These Pokemon-themed cars are perfect for fans and families with kids! Snap a photo of yourself and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #SGCableCar50, so you can redeem an ice cream at any of their gift shops. Don’t forget to tag @MountFaberLeisure to make sure it’s a valid entry! Check the full details here.
