Following the launch of its charming and sustainability-focused Hotel Faber Park in Singapore, hospitality group Accor is set to open another hotel in the Lion City in partnership with Worldwide Hotels Group, the country’s largest hotel operator.

Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, Accor’s new development, is a 989-key hotel slated to launch in the first quarter of 2024. It is also set to be the group’s largest Mercure Hotel in the world.

The hotel will be located at 8 Club Street, near the historic Chinatown and the vibrant Central Business District, along with numerous shopping enclaves, local destinations, and buzzing gastronomic establishments.

Inside the soon-to-open hotel, guests can expect a captivating video wall in the lobby, plus amenities such as a landscaped pool deck and an indoor gym. The hotel will also offer a range of dining options, like an all-day dining restaurant and a lounge and bar concept where guests can indulge in delicious fares while hanging out with their loved ones.

For guests with electric vehicles (EV), the hotel will also have EV charging car lots.

“Located in one of the most happening neighbourhoods in Singapore, and with a wealth of world-class exceptional experiences, the hotel demonstrates our shared commitment to providing genuine hospitality experiences,” said Garth Simmons, chief operating officer for Accor’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy Division in Asia, in a press release.

Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre adds to the brand’s roster of hotels in the country, which includes Mercure Singapore Bugis, Mercure Singapore Tyrwhitt, Mercure Singapore on Stevens, and Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy.
