Celebrate the return of Singapore’s most iconic film event at the 36th Singapore International Film Festival, happening from Nov. 26 to Dec. 7, 2025, across multiple venues. Organized by Singapore International Film Festival Ltd, this year’s edition features a rich and diverse selection of 121 films from 45 countries, spotlighting bold storytelling, cutting-edge cinema, and fresh voices in Asian and global filmmaking.
Explore the festival’s dynamic sections, including “MAG MAG” for its Asian Feature Film Competition, Southeast Asian Short Film Competition, Singapore Panorama, and experimental showcases like Intersections and Undercurrent. Audiences can experience everything from deeply personal narratives and sociopolitical dramas to genre-defying experiments and restored classics. Highlights include the opening film “Girl,” marking Shu Qi’s directorial debut, and other standout titles such as “A Useful Ghost,” “Amoeba,” and “Black Rabbit, White Rabbit.”
Beyond screenings, SGIFF also champions industry growth through its SGIFF Pro platform, which brings together creators, producers, and festival professionals. Join filmmakers and fellow cinephiles for guided talks, masterclasses, and themed programmes that celebrate the power of cinema as both art and conversation.

Step into a world of romance, nostalgia, and cinematic elegance with In the Mood for Love in Concert, presented by BASE Entertainment Asia, on Oct. 24-25, 2026, at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. This extraordinary event brings filmmaker Wong Kar Wai’s celebrated masterpiece to life with a stunning full HD screening accompanied by a live symphony orchestra performing the film’s iconic soundtrack in perfect synchronization.
Originally released in 2000, "In the Mood for Love" tells the poignant story of two neighbors — played by Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Maggie Cheung — who discover that their spouses are having an affair with each other. As they navigate heartbreak and loneliness, their restrained yet deeply emotional connection unfolds in a delicate dance of longing and unspoken affection. The film is renowned for its poetic storytelling, atmospheric visuals, and unforgettable score composed by Shigeru Umebayashi.
The Singapore performances will be conducted by acclaimed local conductor Joshua Tan, adding a powerful live musical dimension to the cinematic experience. With its sweeping melodies and evocative imagery, this concert presentation offers audiences a rare opportunity to rediscover one of the most revered films in Asian cinema.
