Discover the intersections of film, art, and memory in "Notes on Roads, Trips and Other Slips and Falls," screening on July 19 and 26, 2025, at The Projector. This special programme marks the first collaboration between The Projector and Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and features a curated selection of films by celebrated Singaporean artist Heman Chong. The series complements Chong’s first major solo survey exhibition at SAM, titled "This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. "
Among the featured films are "Beau Travail" (screening on July 19) and "Happy Together" (screening on July 26), two visually compelling works that explore themes of displacement, longing, and fractured relationships. The screenings are co-presented with SAM and offer an immersive extension of Chong’s multifaceted artistic practice.
