ROOTS: Debut EP launch by Cheryl Tan

Celebrate the launch of "ROOTS," the debut EP by Singapore-based singer-songwriter Cheryl Tan, taking place on Jan. 17, 2026, from 8 PM to 9 PM at Saylah Studios. This intimate live showcase invites audiences into a reflective musical journey shaped by late-night thoughts, growing pains, and the quiet complexities of coming of age in one’s twenties. Rooted in indie folk with touches of indie pop, the EP explores how to stay grounded while holding on to dreams.

Through tender melodies and introspective lyrics, Cheryl Tan transforms life-defining moments into songs that speak to dreamers, comfort the weary, and resonate with anyone navigating adulthood. Her music draws inspiration from artists such as Kina Grannis, Dodie Clark, and Oh Wonder, creating a safe and honest space for emotions that are often left unspoken.

The evening features a live band with Daniel Wong on bass, Lee Kun Won on keys, Nathaniel Tan on guitar, Lee Ting Hui on cajon, and a special appearance by Teo Poh Yin. Doors open from 7:45 PM, with free seating available and last entry at 8 PM.
