The Festival of Biodiversity is back this weekend, May 27-28 (10 AM-8 PM), to raise awareness and encourage appreciation of Singapore's natural heritage.

The event, which began in 2012, is organised by the National Parks Board and the Biodiversity Roundtable. For this year's edition, the Festival of Biodiversity will take place at Heartbeat@Bedok along Bedok North Street

The fest will feature a wide range of booths, such as wildlife rescue centre ACRES, Book A Tree, Friends of Marine Park, the Herpetological Society of Singapore, the Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore), Mandai Nature, and so much more.

Festival goers can look forward to various talks, activities, and workshops that NParks and its partners have prepared. Tomorrow, there will be a talk about coral reefs and marine life in the afternoon (3 PM-4 PM) and a discussion on Singapore spider diversity on Sunday morning (10 AM-11 AM). You may join these talks physically or online via Zoom.

Different workshops will also be held over the weekend about Singapore's flora and fauna, which will be presided by various institutions and partners. You may check the full list of workshops here to see what you're interested in!

To those who won't be able to make it, there are fun activity sheets available that you can download and answer with your family at home.

Location: Heartbeat@Bedok, 11 Bedok North Street 1
