Broadway fans, great news! Witness the untold story of the Witches of Oz live as the award-winning Broadway musical “Wicked” is flying once again to Singapore!
In an announcement posted by Base Entertainment Asia, “Wicked” is slated to make its return to the Lion City, with shows set for March 2025 at the Sands Theatre in Marina Bay Sands. This marks the musical’s third staging in Singapore, following its successful runs in 2011 and 2016.
Tickets to the musical will be available starting Aug. 16 at 10 AM via Marina Bay Sands Ticketing, SISTIC, and Klook, with a 15% discount for UOB cardholders. There will also be pre-sales for UOB cardholders on Aug. 12 via Klook and from Aug. 13 to 18 via all three platforms, available at a 20% discount with Dress Circle access.
“Wicked” follows the story of witches Elphaba and Glinda from L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” before the arrival of Dorothy in the Land of Oz, their friendship, and how they became known as the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the South.
It was first performed on Broadway in 2003 and has since won numerous accolades in prestigious award-giving bodies, such as the Tony Awards, Grammy Awards, Helpmann Awards, and Drama Desk Awards, among many others.

Base Entertainment Asia is bringing Middle-earth to Singapore, as the production company is set to stage “The Lord of the Rings — A Musical Tale” in the Lion City in August next year.
As of this writing, there are no specific show dates yet, but fans can already join the waitlist and get the first dibs on tickets by signing up on Base Entertainment Asia’s official website. Presale for DBS cardholders will commence on Jan. 7 at 10 AM, while waitlist subscribers can get their tickets from Jan. 8 at 12 PM.
“The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale” is based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic epic-fantasy trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings,” which was later adapted into a film series. It follows the story of Hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, and their quest to destroy One Ring, a powerful ring that allows its maker, Dark Lord Sauron, to control the other Rings of Power.
The musical promises to transport fans to Middle-earth, the tale’s main setting, with world-class live music, realistic stage setups, stunning theatrics, and a lineup of acclaimed musical actors.
The Singapore stop is the musical’s highly anticipated premiere in Asia, following its United States, United Kingdom, and Australian shows.
