The cruise, which will set sail from Marina Bay, will feature seven themed areas inspired by some of our favorite Disney shows. Base Entertainment Asia is bringing Middle-earth to Singapore, as the production company is set to stage “The Lord of the Rings — A Musical Tale” in the Lion City in August next year.
As of this writing, there are no specific show dates yet, but fans can already join the waitlist and get the first dibs on tickets by signing up on Base Entertainment Asia’s official website. Presale for DBS cardholders will commence on Jan. 7 at 10 AM, while waitlist subscribers can get their tickets from Jan. 8 at 12 PM.
“The Lord of the Rings – A Musical Tale” is based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic epic-fantasy trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings,” which was later adapted into a film series. It follows the story of Hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, and their quest to destroy One Ring, a powerful ring that allows its maker, Dark Lord Sauron, to control the other Rings of Power.
The musical promises to transport fans to Middle-earth, the tale’s main setting, with world-class live music, realistic stage setups, stunning theatrics, and a lineup of acclaimed musical actors.
The Singapore stop is the musical’s highly anticipated premiere in Asia, following its United States, United Kingdom, and Australian shows.
