Baybeats 2025 is your ticket to ride if these ideas intrigue you: moshing by the bay, discovering bands before they blow up, and soaking in the pulse of Singapore’s underground scene. From Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, 2025, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay transforms into a free-of-charge cultural playground where punk, metal, math rock, synthwave, and community collide.

This year’s lineup spans five stages and over 60 acts, featuring international artists like Carsick Cars (China), mouse on the keys (Japan), Ali (Indonesia), N.Y.P.D. (Hong Kong) and Silica Gel (Korea). Local favorites such as rathmock, SHINSEINA, and Microchip Terror bring homegrown edge to the mix, proving that Singapore’s indie scene is anything but quiet.

Baybeats is a cornerstone of Singapore’s music calendar. Held annually since 2002, the festival has built a reputation for championing alternative sounds and emerging artists across Asia. In 2024, the three-day event featured a dynamic lineup including Hands Like Houses (Australia), Barasuara (Indonesia), Chameleon Lime Whoopiepie (Japan), and Yonlapa (Thailand), alongside local legends like Caracal and Blood Pact.

A standout feature of Baybeats is its Budding Programme, a mentorship initiative that nurtures Singapore’s next wave of creative talent, like bands, writers, photographers, and emcees. They each bring a fresh, genre-bending energy to the festival, making it a full-spectrum creative incubator.

And when you need a break from the music, the Festival Village awaits. Located on the Esplanade Lawn, it offers exclusive merch, DIY workshops, and interactive booths.
