Its music scene is no exception. Singapore is home to exciting and innovative musicians, thanks to its flourishing indie scene. Here are some of the city’s up-and-coming artists, who are constantly pushing the boundaries of what good music sounds like.
Islandeer
Singapore’s newest pop rock sensation, Islandeer, is a powerful duo composed of Christian Jansen (drums, guitars and keyboards) and Michael Garcia (vocals, guitars, and keyboards). Of Filipino heritage, the duo explores the themes of love, identity, and personal growth in their lyrics. Both modern and timeless, their music is layered with infectious beats and catchy melodies that keep listeners hooked.

Joie Tan
Joie Tan is a singer-songwriter who has been making waves in Singapore’s music scene for several years now. Her lyrics and stripped-down arrangements allow her soulful vocals to take center stage.
