Construction of Bangkok’s Orange Line Is 98.31% Done, MRTA Reports

The construction of the eastern section of Bangkok’s Orange Line is 98.31% complete, according to the latest data on the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand's (MRTA) website.

Spanning 22.57 kilometres from the Thailand Cultural Centre (TCC) to Min Buri, the eastern section comprises 10 underground stations from the TCC to Khlong Ban Ma and seven elevated stations between Sammakorn and Yaek Rom Klao.

It also houses 11 ventilation chimneys, one parking building, and a maintenance centre.

The project, which was constructed in 2017 to reduce traffic road congestion and lessen the use of cars in Bangkok, is expected to be completed and operational in 2023.

Meanwhile, the western section of the Orange Line is under review for the same construction plan.
