Thai AirAsia Launches Direct Flights from Don Mueang to Okinawa
Pack your bags and make your Japan dreams come true, travel junkies, because Thai AirAsia is now offering direct flights from Bangkok to Japan’s southern paradise island, Okinawa!
The new route will take off from the Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok and land at Okinawa’s Naha Airport four times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The airline announced the news through welcoming ceremonies held at both airports.
According to their press release, the launch is part of the airline’s expansion efforts in Japan. It is also their second Japan-bound route, following Fukuoka.
The airline will also be offering various promotions and affordable fares for the route very soon.
On what pushed AirAsia to offer the new route, Santisuk Klongchaiya, chief executive officer (CEO) of Thai AirAsia, said, “Japan remains a top destination for Thai travelers as can be seen from our direct flights to Fukuoka that has increased from 4 weekly to daily flights in just a short period of time. The demand has led Thai AirAsia to adding Don Mueang-Okinawa that takes off today.”
