Six Senses Bangkok to Open in Historic Silom by 2028

Big news for design lovers, wellness seekers, and fans of thoughtful luxury: Six Senses is coming to the heart of Bangkok.
Six Senses is teaming up with Narai Hospitality Group to launch Six Senses Bangkok in Hatai, set to open its doors just after the 60th anniversary of the legendary Narai Hotel in 2028.
If you know Bangkok, you know Narai. Since opening in 1968, it’s been more than just a hotel; it has helped shape the Silom skyline and stands out as a cultural landmark for travelers, celebs, and even royalty.
Set right on Silom Road, Six Senses Bangkok will join its Thai counterparts: Six Senses Samui and Six Senses Yao Noi. Just a short walk to the nearby Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and landmark King Power Mahanakhon with its popular SkyWalk, the hotel will be in a desirable location with easy access to transport links, as well as the scenic Chao Phraya River.
This next evolution is part of Hatai, a stunning mixed-use development that reimagines the original Narai site as a “lantern quarter,” a poetic nod to traditional Thai craftsmanship.
And that’s not just marketing talk — the renowned Heatherwick Studio is designing the building to evoke an elegant, handcrafted lantern. Plus, they’re repurposing wood from the original Narai Hotel into the interiors, keeping the sustainable philosophy of Six Senses intact.
Guests can expect approximately 100 rooms and suites when it launches, a showstopping 700-square-meter suite, and a signature restaurant designed by Joyce Wang.
The urban sanctuary will also be home to a sky garden, rooftop pool, and the luxurious Six Senses Spa, where ancient traditions meet cutting-edge wellness tech. Meanwhile, retail, dining, and cultural gathering spaces span a whopping 6,000 square meters, so you’ll never find yourself short of something to do!
