The exhibition also shines a spotlight on Thai talent, with 10 local artists presenting original works inspired by the Peanuts™ characters. The Bangkok International Film Festival (BKKIFF) returns from Sept. 27 to Oct. 15 at Bangkok’s leading theaters. Organized by the Department of Cultural Promotion and the Thailand Creative Culture Agency, this edition positions Bangkok as a regional film capital and a gateway to international collaboration.
Under the concept “Power in Collaboration,” the festival will present over 200 films across genres and formats, from world cinema features to Thai shorts, documentaries, animation, and experimental works. The opening film is the much-anticipated “Tee Yod 3,” continuing one of Thailand’s most successful horror franchises.
The event’s competition lineup includes the International Competition, New Voices, Thai Panorama, and Asian Short Films, each offering prestigious awards and cash prizes. Beyond screenings, the Bangkok Film and Content Market (Oct. 2–5) will feature 50+ industry booths, buyer seminars, masterclasses, and project pitching opportunities.
With its expansive program and international scope, BKKIFF 2025 is poised to become the largest film festival in Southeast Asia, celebrating creativity while strengthening Thailand’s role in the global film industry.
