Central Department Store is giving one of its most iconic branches, Central Chidlom, a stunning makeover, unveiling its new identity as “The Store of Bangkok” under the concept “The City Store.”
Set to open its doors on Dec. 12, 2024, the launch will feature South Korean actorNam Joo-hyuk as the brand's first global ambassador.
This transformation follows a THB4-billion renovation, marking the store’s first major overhaul in 50 years. The result? A cutting-edge luxury retail hub designed to redefine the shopping experience.
Decked out in an exclusive “Chidlom Pink” color, the revamped 60,000-square-meter space houses over 500 premium brands, including Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Louis Vuitton. It also boasts specialty zones like “Shoes Avenue” and “Sneakers Boulevard,” offering an impressive collection of more than 800 footwear options.

But it’s more than just shopping. Central Chidlom is now a lifestyle destination, complete with a Sky Terrace that connects directly to the Chidlom BTS Station and a Public Lane – Public Market area featuring over 30 dining and street food options. Adding a touch of magic, the store’s innovative façade changes colors with the weather.
According to Natira Boonsri, CEO of Central Department Store Group, the revamp is a nod to Central Chidlom’s legacy as a beloved shopping destination for locals and tourists alike.
