South Korea’s The Hyundai, Siam Piwat to Open K-Shopping Hub in Thailand
South Korean retail chain Hyundai Department Store, also known as The Hyundai, is partnering with Thai property giant Siam Piwat Group in efforts to capitalise on the popularity of the Hallyu wave.
With Korean culture becoming increasingly popular across the country, The Hyundai and Siam Piwat aim to elevate the two countries’ retail space through a series of programmes and destination projects.
This includes the establishment of a “K-Content Specialty Place” in one of Siam Piwat’s malls, which will offer a range of popular K-Food, K-Pop, K-Fashion, and more Korean culture-related products.
The collaboration also aims to support small and medium-sized Korean and Thai businesses in showcasing their products to local and international shoppers by presenting them in various Siam Piwat properties and Hyundai Department Stores, the former said in a press release.
Moreover, the partnership will offer numerous benefits and rewards to ONESIAM and Hyundai Department Store members to elevate their shopping experience.
This marks Hyundai Department Store’s first partnership with a foreign company.
