Blackpink’s Lisa Set to Dazzle at This Year's Oscars

Thai singer, rapper, and actress Lalisa, more commonly known as “Lisa," is set to break new ground as the first K-Pop star to perform at the 97th Academy Awards (The Oscars) on Mar. 2, 2025.
The Blackpink sensation will take the stage alongside Doja Cat and Raye for a highly anticipated performance of their track “Born Again.”
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences made the announcement with a teaser on X, calling it “Three global superstars. One epic #Oscars moment.” The collaboration promises to be one of the night’s most talked-about performances, adding an electrifying musical element to Hollywood’s biggest evening.

Lisa’s Oscars debut is particularly momentous as “Born Again” marks a milestone in her solo career. The song was re-released on Feb. 7, 2025, as part of her first full-length album, ALTER EGO, and this year will mark the first time it is performed live.
Written and produced by British artist Raye, the track also serves as the theme song for the upcoming third season of HBO’s critically acclaimed series "The White Lotus," which Lisa stars in and makes her acting debut.
More details on Lisa's performance remain a mystery. This year's Oscars, hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien, will take place at the prestigious Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Expect live performances from Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo and a special set by Los Angeles Master Chorale, among many artists to be announced.
Fans around the world can catch the live broadcast and red-carpet coverage via Disney+ Hotstar. In Thailand, the show airs on Mar. 3, at 6:30 AM on True Film 1 (Channel 222) and TrueVisions Now for Now Prime subscribers.
