40th HK Film Awards Rescheduled Due to COVID-19 Surge

The 40th Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA) ceremony has been tentatively rescheduled to June 2022 due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the city.

The organisers made the announcement on Facebook on March 9. They said details of the event will be reconsidered depending on the development of the local COVID-19 situation. Further announcements will be made later.

The 40th HKFA was supposed to take place on April 17 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The previous ceremony was held virtually in May 2020.
