22 Ships Moves to PMQ Central, Closing 12 Iconic Years in Wan Chai

22 Ships, the tapas bar that has been a local favorite in Wan Chai since 2012, is getting ready to move to a new location in PMQ, Central, this September. Its final day of serving customers in Wan Chai will be Aug. 21, and the new spot in PMQ will have its soft opening on Sept. 6.

Following a revamp in 2020, the tapas bar underwent a transformative culinary evolution under the guidance of Madrid-born Chef Antonio Oviedo. The menu offers delectable tapas and dishes that stay true to timeless tradition, all served in a convivial yet relaxed setting that captures the essence of community dining.

Over the next few weeks, guests are invited to enjoy some of 22 Ships’ cherished signatures at its iconic location for the last time, from the decadent Uni & Rusa Toast (HK$288) to the crunchy Chorizo Croquetas (HK$98) and the heartwarming Tortilla & Sobrasada (HK$168). Other standout offerings include luscious Scallops in Ajo Blanco (HK$98), the monumental XXL Carabineros Paella (HK$1,198), and the flavorful Manchego Lamb Shoulder (HK$738). Experience the ultimate in Spanish cuisine with the Cochinillo Segovian Roasted Suckling Pig (HK$438 per quarter), renowned for its crispy skin and succulent meat. For dessert, guests can’t miss Chef Antonio’s creamy signature Burnt Basque Cheesecake (HK$98) and home-style Flan de la Casa Vanilla (HK$89).

With its new location in Central, the new 22 Ships combines rustic charm with retro style. Guests can relax in a cool and laid-back atmosphere, ideal for enjoying tapas and social drinks in a welcoming setting.
