Allegory Pop-up in Hong Kong: 50’s Best, Washington DC Bar

HAPPENINGS

Washington-based Cocktail Bar Allegory in HK Over Extended Weekend

This summer Hong Kong will be graced with the presence of one of North America's 50 Best cocktail bars, Allegory. Under the guidance of Creative Director Deke Dunne, this Washington D.C. speakeasy will take over Terrible Baby’s bar at Eaton HK for an exclusive three-night pop-up.

Guests will be treated to an arsenal of imaginative cocktails and mocktails showcasing advanced culinary and molecular techniques. An extensive menu of up to seven creative reinterpretations of classics will be spotlighted.

These include the light and refreshing Looking-Glass (HK$130), and the bright and bubbly Eden (HK$130) - both low a.b.v. libations redefining traditional spirits. For slow sipping, there's the smooth Unicorn (HK$130), an Afro-Caribbean rum cocktail, and Beat of the Drums (HK$130), a nod to the Margarita. The smoky and bold Eyes of Flame (HK$130) is suited for discerning drinkers in search of a kick, whilst Awakening (HK$130) – a tropical, silky mocktail, and Queen Alice (HK$130), a zero-proof highball, round out the menu.

Allegory's pop-up will transform Terrible Baby into a representation of the original Eaton DC's hidden gem, complete with a creative window installation in tribute to the iconic Ruby Bridges mural.

When: July 14 - 16
