Disney Delights You Have to Try at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

We’ve had a Disney-filled week, folks! From the recently concluded D23 Expo that showcased some of the most-anticipated projects and upcoming movie sequels in the Disney realm to the first-ever Disney Toy Expo finally happening in Southeast Asia, we just couldn’t get enough of the House of Mouse.

And here’s another one for ya! Hong Kong Disneyland Resort may be one of the youngest of the Disney Parks, but it’s packed with all the fun and magic any Disney Resort has and more! This time around, we’re going to give you a little treat as we put the spotlight on its food experience. After all, a trip to Disneyland is a feast for all the senses, and that includes treats that will tickle your taste buds!

We’re listing down the best snacks and sweetest delights you can get at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort!

Mickey Ring Donut

Where to find: Main Street Bakery | HK$55

An iconic snack you can find in the park, the Mickey Ring doughnut is a delightful chocolate-coated donut shaped like yes, you guessed it, Mickey Mouse! It’s everything you can want in a doughnut except better, because who doesn’t want to take a bite of a Mickey-shaped treat? Plus, it’ll look stunning on your IG feed!

Bonus: These adorable doughnuts also have other character versions such as Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, as well as Disney bears Duffy and ShellieMay.

Mickey Waffles

Where to find: Main Street Market | HK$70

Our personal favorite in the park is the massive waffles sold at one of the stalls located at the center of Main Street USA. They’re often shaped like Mickey Mouse but for some seasons, you can find them in other shapes such as the LinaBell waffle you can get with a side of whipped cream, fruits, and sweet jam. You can also get “Duffy and Friends” mini waffles for a combo price of HK$90.

We’d recommend having it for breakfast if you’re heading into the park early or as a munch-on treat before the fireworks show.

Elsa Hazelnut Chocolate Croissant with Marshmallows

Where to find: Main Street Bakery | HK$70

Bonjour from — Arendelle?! With the World of Frozen opening in the park comes a new set of treats themed after Elsa, Olaf, and all the wonderful characters from “Frozen.”

Bread lovers would want to get a bite of this extra-sweet treat. It’s a croissant sandwich drizzled in white chocolate and stuffed with marshmallows and more chocolate! It has this cute Elsa topper and edible pearls and snowflakes, making it look as if she’s walking through a sparkling snowy slope. Definitely looks too good to eat!

Summer Snow Day Soft Serve

Where to find: Northern Delights | HK$65

Here’s another “Frozen” treat for you, but this time we’re taking you right into the heart of Arendell where you’ll find Northern Delights, a candy store selling a variety of sweet desserts and novelty items such as Arendelle-exclusive gourmet chocolates from GODIVA, Olaf muffins and cakes, and a fine selection of kitchenware and tableware designed with traditional Arendellian rosemaling!

But the star of the show (even though the white and blue chocolate fountain came close), and which we think is the cutest treat ever, is the Summer Snow Day soft serve shaped as our favorite summer-loving snowman, Olaf.

Also, a must-try is the Olaf Snowflake Smultringer (Norwegian Donuts, HK$50) and Coronation Sundae (HK$95).

Churro

Where to find: Jessie’s Snack Roundup | HK$50

Another Disney Park classic is their tasty cinnamon churros. They’re served in paper sleeves and are half as long as our forearm! There's just something about Disneyland churros that tastes better than any other churros out there. Is it the delightful cinnamon taste? The crunchy texture? The tantalizing sweet smell? Might be all of the above!

On special seasons like Christmas, they also release special-flavored ones!

Other fantastic treats you can try at this snack bar in Toy Story Land are the Pineapple Dole Whip Slush Float (HK$62), Corn dogs (HK$60), Corn on Cob (HK$35), and Sundae Cones available in pineapple and vanilla flavors (HK$45).

Trivia: At Tokyo Disney Resort, the churros are more than just your regular cylindrical treats. Once you take a bite, you’ll discover they’re actually Mickey-shaped!

Disney Friends Dim Sum

Where to find: Crystal Lotus Restaurant at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel | from HK$98

This one isn’t found inside the park but in one of the three magical stays within the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The Crytal Lotus at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel serves up the most delicious Chinese food, featuring dishes from the four major culinary regions of China: Sichuan, Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong.

Among their exquisite menu is the Disney Friends Dim Sum which is literally a bunch of sweet and savory buns shaped like Disney characters! Try the Winnie the Pooh Milk Custard Bun or the Tigger Pork and Vegetable Bun! There’s also the Mickey-shaped glutinous pancakes and the Crystal Lotus Dessert Sampler (HK$198) which includes Mickey’s taro pudding and basil seed and wolfberry pudding.

Stitch Popsicle

Where to find: at several stalls and carts around the park | HK$45

Ever since we saw that teaser for the upcoming live-action movie of “Lilo and Stitch” we just had to include this unique dessert perfect for a refreshing break after all that walking around the park, especially during the summer months.

The blueberry-flavored popsicle is shaped like Stitch’s paw and is the perfect treat to cool down with. You can find them in snack and beverage carts around the park like in Fantasy Land and Adventure Land (just follow the enticing Korean grilled squid and Turkey leg smell, and you’ll get there! *wink wink*).

Other frozen treats available in the park are the Mickey-shaped chocolate bar, Minnie-shaped strawberry bar, and the Lotso-shaped berry sherbet popsicle.
