Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Hotels Guide

Going to Disneyland is a magical experience all on its own. Getting on the rides and seeing all the shows, meeting your favorite Disney characters and Marvel superheroes, as well as getting to eat Mickey-shaped treats from ice popsicles to waffles is an experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Hong Kong Disneyland offers all of this and more with its seven themed lands and more than 100 attractions for families and Disney fans to enjoy. And if that’s not enough, the resort also offers a way for you to extend the magic long after you’ve stepped out of the park gates.

From themed rooms to park perks, we’re here to show you all the magical reasons to stay at one of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels.

Overview

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort currently has three hotels, all of which embody a theme in line with Disney’s storytelling. Each of them offers amenities found in most full-service hotels, but with an added sprinkle of Pixie Dust as each stay also offers unique packages and recreation activities exclusive to Disney parks such as Disney boutiques, exploration activities, and crafting workshops.

And the best part? The resort offers free shuttle services between all three hotels, allowing guests to enjoy all the themed recreational activities and facilities, and providing them with easy access to and from Hong Kong Disneyland Park.

Speaking of themes, let’s get down to business and look at what each hotel has to offer.

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

Live your fairytale in the resort’s grandest hotel stay with its 6-story castle-like structure inspired by Victorian architecture. Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel embodies the timeless elegance and charm of Disney’s storytelling with its stately accommodations and enchanting interior detailed with beautiful latticework that will make you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time.

This stunning hotel offers modern amenities and live music in the grand lobby (Disney tunes of course!), as well as chance encounters with some of your favorite Disney characters. Through the lobby and out back, you’ll be welcomed by a gorgeous seaside view and a lovely garden with a life-size maze in the shape of our favorite mouse. If you’re looking for a stay fit for royalty, this is it!

The hotel has four restaurants including a café and poolside bar. There are also eight room types ranging from standard rooms to suites. Prices start from HK$2,720* for one night in a Standard room, and HK$7,225* per night in a Kingdom Club suite.

*Rates are subject to change depending on season and availability. Check out the website for updates.

Kingdom Club Themed Suites – Immerse yourself in the Disney magic by elevating your stay in one of the hotel’s themed suites. The Cinderella Suite captures the elegance and loveliness of a royal chamber complete with a pumpkin carriage sofa and Cinderella-themed amenities that will make anyone’s dreams come true.

Frozen fans would be thrilled to known that you can step into an Arendelle-esque suite where Olaf and Kristoff’s sleigh (or rather, sofa, but we’re not complaining!) is ready to whisk you away to a wintery wonderland. Rates start at HK$8,160 per night.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Bringing little one’s along? Give them the royal treatment by taking them to this special salon where little girls are transformed into Disney Princesses by Fairy Godmothers in training! Packages fit for a princess are available starting from HK$2,495 and includes a deluxe princess costume of their choosing, hair and makeup styling, exclusive crown and wands, and a souvenir photo.

Note: Princess Transformations are very popular so it’s best to book in advance. For reservations, call +852 3510-6000 or book an appointment here. The shop is open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM.

The Enchanted Garden Restaurant - As if a buffet can’t get any better, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel takes it up a notch by giving you a chance to dine with Mickey and his friends. The restaurant treats guests to an international feast amid a garden setting, and features surprise visits at your table by Mickey, Goofy, and more!

Breakfast buffets are from HK$358 (adults) and HK$188/HK$248 (child). For detailed session times and price listing for lunch and dinner, click here. Reservations are also highly recommended. You can book a table here.

Disney’s Hollywood Hotel

Some of us grew up watching Disney films and what better way than to spend time in the resort than to be surrounded by them? Disney’s Hollywood Hotel celebrates the wonder of Disney’s art and storytelling through enchanting Art-Deco designs, gallery-like hallways, vintage cars, and detailed depictions of well-known landmarks. It’s movie magic at every turn, nook, and cranny, making guests feel like they’ve stepped into a movie set in this Hollywood-style resort.

Since being revamped post-COVID, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel has added modern eras within the Disney studios, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) so if you’re an Avengers fan, you won’t want to miss a chance to explore the multiverse of activities this hotel has to offer.

The hotel also offers two dining options, which includes an international breakfast buffet at Ink and Plate. There are eight room types ranging from standard rooms to suites. Prices start from HK$2,252.50* for a one-night stay in a Standard room, and HK$2,762.50* in a Marvel-themed room with a sea view.

The Archivist – Calling all Disney Adults! If you’re looking for a place to lounge about with a good cocktail, this is the spot! Enjoy Marvel-themed drinks and Tapas mains that will surely tickle your taste buds.

We recommend the Asgardian Cheat Day for its spicy chocolate lava cake and Thor’s hammer-shaped chocolate; and The Sorcerer’s Supreme which looks like a magic potion in a fancy glass (Tastes like one too, we were definitely under its spell!).

PS: Don’t miss the ‘archived’ MCU artefacts, which includes all five infinity stones displayed within glass tubes around the lounge.

IG-worthy Spots – If you love to make memories, this hotel offers plenty of opportunities for a good photo op! Out back is a sprawling garden where you can pose against vintage cars and a massive Hollywood sign! There’s also an outdoor piano-shaped swimming pool and several statues and movie artworks around the hotel.

Disney Explorers Lodge

Answer the call to the wild at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s newest hotel: the Disney Explorers Lodge. Immerse yourself in the exotic décor which gives a sense of some of Disney’s classic adventure feature films such as “The Lion King,” “Tarzan,” and “Moana.”

Explore and dream in this unique accommodation inspired by tropical regions of Asia, Oceania, South America, and Africa. Hands down, it’s a Hakuna Matata-worthy stay for the whole family!

The hotel also offers three dining options including the Chart Room Café where you can enjoy casual dining, get a scoop of delicious gelato, and even get to see Disney chocolatiers and bakers at work as they craft the most beautiful cakes and desserts.

There are five room types ranging from standard rooms to suites. Prices start from HK$2,380 for a one-night stay in a Standard room, and HK$11,050 in the Adventurer’s Suite, which includes in-suite entertainment such as a Nintendo Switch and Disney-themed board games.

Make sure to spot certain elements from the animations these gardens are named after.

This collaboration by Lanson Place Causeway Bay Hong Kong and Hong Kong Tramways aims to tell the stories of Hong Kong through a modern lens. Participants and guests have the opportunity to wear a traditional qipao, which is available for rental from clothing boutique Yan Shang Kee in Central. The boutique offers a variety of styles for women, men, and children.

This experience is perfect for couples, friends, and families who are ecstatic and eager to embark on an off-the-beaten-path travel adventure. The group will board a beautifully restored 1920s-style open-top tram and glide through the bustling streets of Hong Kong while savoring the nostalgia of a bygone era.
