‘Disney Toy Expo’ Coming to Thailand this Aug. 15 to 18

We’re still reeling from the D23 Expo showcase last weekend but Disney fans in Southeast Asia, are you ready for more? The very first Disney Toy Expo (DTX) in the region is finally happening and will be held for four magical days from Aug. 15 to 18 at CentralWorld in Bangkok.
It was reported that there has been significant growth in the art toy sector in Thailand fueled by adult collectors and their interest in small toy manufacturers. This is reflected in the number of POP MART stores that popped up in the country and the Sonny Angels craze that’s been capturing hearts left and right, one tiny angel baby at a time.
Avid collectors and toy fans are sure to have a blast at this year’s expo as the House of Mouse boasts some of the world's most fan-favorite franchises from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar to Marvel and Star Wars. The expo features popular toy manufacturers such as LEGO, Funko, and threezero. Joyliday is also bringing an arcade game shop where you can try your hand at claw machines filled with Disney merchandise!
The Disney Toy Expo will cover three floors of CentralWorld packed with exciting booths and special activities across the massive exhibition halls. Some of the exciting events that you should look forward to include exclusive musical stages by the Disney & Musical Club Thailand (DMCT) and a mini-concert by rising T-pop boy group, LYKN.
There will also be new collection launches, a series of fan groups and collectors’ panels, as well as meet-and-greet opportunities with your favorite Disney characters. There is no admission fee, so you can enjoy all the offerings and activities free of charge!
Thai actor Nattawat Jirochtikul will grace the DTX stage at the opening ceremony on Aug. 15 at 4 PM, while representatives from Miss Tourism World Thailand will also be present at the event.
