2023 Digital Art Fair to Be Held at K11 Musea, Announces Dates for October
The 2023 edition of Digital Art Fair Asia (DAFA) is set to take place at K11 Art & Cultural Centre between Oct. 19 to 23.
Since its inauguration in 2021, the DAFA has been focusing on giving a platform to NFTs and digital art. It has become an annual cultural event for art and technology enthusiasts to collect digital fine art and assets. Attendees at DAFA can engage with interactive installations, dive into virtual reality realms, and witness mind-bending visual experiences that challenge traditional artistic boundaries.
A highly anticipated highlight of DAFA 2023 is the specially curated AI Art Zone. The section will showcase groundbreaking works of art that blur the boundaries between human creativity and artificial intelligence through installations, digital sculptures, and immersive multimedia experiences.
The fair will also continue to showcase blue-chip digital fine art and ‘degen’ NFT projects. The immersive room will continue to house special works by a specially chosen ‘Digital Artist of the Year,’ who is set to be announced at the fair. Notable previous digital artists of the year include Refik Anadol and Jacky Tsai.
Over the last two editions of DAFA, the fair has still managed to attract over 35,000 visitors amidst the global pandemic, with an impressive digital art auction sales collaboration with Sotheby’s, where Refik Anadol’s immersive room sold for HKD$18.3 million.
With Hong Kong opening up again to the rest of the world, DAFA looks forward to welcoming over 20,000 international art collectors back to the city.
Limited Early Bird tickets are now available for purchase through DAFA's official website, offering exclusive access and special discounts. Vernissage and media previews will take place on Oct. 19.
