1. Funky y2k Day n Nite Party Lifts Up Wong Chuk Hang

Groovy event production house y2k are teaming up with music and vibes squad crushcrush to bring Day n Nite to Wong Chuk Hang rooftops for a dual day and night programme for arts, crafts, live music and DJs, and food and drink.

y2k enters 2023 with an 11-hour-long bash to burst with creative juices for those interested in groovy, fun melodies, techno, and acoustic house for partying deep into the night. Expect great food from Locofama, arts and crafts market from The Bay Market, and face painting and wood workshops by Craft Junk Garden. Snatch up your tickets here.

2. Tripple X Presents Glam and Glitzy The Drag Race at Shuffle

Hong Kong’s real life drag doll collective affectionally named The Doll House are back with yet another takeover, this time at Shuffle on Feb. 17. Expect hot hunnies showing off their most powerful moves, paired with the finest glamour, glitz in Lan Kwai Fong, plus free-flow champagne for the three-hour bash.

The Doll House is five-queen strong collective, Violette Blanche, Gigi Reyes, Parris Mami, Emma Ohrey, and Southeast Asia Miles, who have dominated Lan Kwai clubs this century in the most stunning fashions. Snap your tickets up here for the big snazzy bash.

3. Zeus Hosts Electric Night with Jeffrey Sutorius, ex-frontman of Dash Berlin

The former legendary frontman of Dutch electronic duo Dash Berlin, Jeffery Sutorius brings his electric beats and energy to the floor of Zeus in California Tower for a night of trancey and tech tunes, playing hits such as “Till the Sky Falls Down,” “Waiting,” and “Disarm Yourself.”

With appearances at Miami Music Festival, Transmission, ULTRA, LAVVA and Southbank, Jeffrey’s set will be one that you should not miss. All tickets include entry and two complimentary drinks; buy them here! Tables can be booked at @zeuslkf.

4. narrativebyus Host South by Southeast Music Festival and Zine Launch

To celebrate their first zine launch, local ethnic minority creative arts group narbus are hosting a launch party and music festival at Eaton Hotel bringing together up and coming South and Southeast Asian musicians to perform OG RnB, hip hop, rap, and melodic music for drinks, dancing, and vibes.

narrativebyus is an ethnic-minority space created by young Hong Kongers passionate about zine production, archiving research, and community events. Tickets online sold out instantly but be sure to sneak in early for walk-in tickets to the bumpy event.

5. Get Your Chuckles on with Bitches in Stitches’ Femme Comedy Night

Hong Kong’s first all-femme stand-up comedy troupe Bitches in Stitches are back at The Aftermath in Central this February for a phenomenal femme comedy show representing the best of female comedy and comedians.

Joining the crew are Dannie Aildasani, Jenna Hudson, Bianca Lau, Rose Rage, Apurva Sawhney, and Hannah Davies to joke all night long on Feb. 19. Find your tickets here on zicket for the night of fun!

7. Acoufunkture Play Calming Tunes at ‘Ripples of Sound’ at Dan Ryan’s

If your weekend is attuned for calmer listens and chill vibes, head down to Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill as it launches its 2023 live music months at the Lee Tung Avenue American-style restaurant, featuring new Hong Kong Acoufunkture to perform a two-hour set.

Laying down soul, blues, RnB melodies and pop classics, Acoufunkture marries acoustic funk and flamenco, led by Roo Kimber playing the trombone and ukulele. Tickets are still available online and we recommend you head down earlier for filling bites before.

For fans of both calming, smooth jazz and metalcore, your weekend can end in rocking style with the second edition of The Playground, presented by Updoot Media, BARLOVE, and Hong Kong’s hub for culture and media, Fringe Club.

Hong Kong’s metalcore group Plum Blossom pair up with indie combo troupe Blaster on stage at the Fringe Club for two and a half hours of fun mental rocking and jazz tuning. Limited number of tickets are available to purchase online at Eventbrite, with door price only slightly more expensive.

10. Resident DJ Crystal Brings the Vibes All Night Long at Candour

Household name DJ Crystal arrives on Friday to Candour for her regular night jamming in her month-long residence at the SoHo drinkery. Known in Hong Kong for smashing out mixes of old-school ‘80s and ‘90s coastal jams to modern rap and house favourites, DJ Crystal brings the vibes back to the end of the week.

Hip hop bar-longue Candour opened in October 2021 by Common Abode group and marries sleek smooth cocktail making with a safe space to hear creativity in music, dance, and collaboration.
