1. Orbstellar Spectacular

Venture into an interstellar exploration betwixt the cross section of the cosmos and the digital world. Created by media collective XCEPT, discover the stars like never before in a multi-dimensional exhibition that’ll dazzle all your senses, and conceive a planet of your own using dazzling new NFT tech. 2. Arsham City

This capsule collection of clothing, accessories, and merch is centred around the iconic custom 1973 Porsche Carrera RS2.7 sports car. Sculptor and contemporary visual artist Daniel Arsham derives inspiration from the vehicle’s saturated yellow paint job, contrasting sky blue accents, and brown leather to produce the boldly eclectic series of collectibles on sale. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the limited ‘ERODED CARRERA RS’ sculpture, which dropped alongside the launch of the pop-up.

3. Woman Is a Word

Honouring all femme individuals, the Hong Kong Women’s Festival is an annual celebration of the sugary, spicy, and nice elements that go into being a woman. Approaching issues of gender inequalities and encouraging sex positivity, the festival shares the beauty in living the womanly experience to its fullest through the arts and culture, as well as community discussion. This year’s theme is “A Womb Dialogue,” an examination of all the implications of this life-bearing organ that’s right to control has been hotly contested.

4. Happily Ever Hereafter

Organized by non-profit organization The Warehouse Teenage Club, this weekend-long music festival was born out of the 1:4 MUSIC initiative established last year. It will be a platform for young musicians who haven’t given up on their hopes of performing on stage despite the less-than-ideal conditions of the past few years. This big romp is a place for everyone to let loose and forget about the throes of the world just for a little bit, whilst under the spell of live music. For fans of metalcore, punk, hardcore, and pop rock, tickets for day one can be purchased here, while day two tickets are available here.

5. Once You Go Ghost

Occurring in the dead of summer, there is a Chinese belief, known as the Hungry Ghost festival, that the gate to the underworld opens up for ghosts and spirits to roam back into our realm to revisit their old haunts for some sustenance. Local artist duo We Are The Pigs have gleaned from this tradition to create 100 phantasmic illustrations that play with its supernatural source.

From the cheeky Cable Car Spirit that lurks amongst Ocean Park’s most beloved transportation, to the Dish Spirit toy (starting from HK$198) that you can bring back home as a ghostly reminder to do the washing up, their hilarious depictions await. To whet the ghostly appetites and satiate your thirst, exhibition host Whatever. Coffee have brewed up the limited-edition berry-flavoured Potion of Youth kombucha.

6. Manner Maketh Mahjong

Delving into the craftsmanship of Mahjong tiles, HKI “The Art of Mahjong Craft x Photography Exhibition” examines the game pieces’ beautiful curvatures, carvings, and colours up close. The exploration bridges together three local artists who each highlight the subject with their own craft, including artist Karen Aruba, photographer AndyPoll, as well as mahjong master Ricky Cheung Sing Chung who has a part in hand carving the pieces displayed in the photographs.

7. Cellar Strolls

While we’re all for a rowdy pub crawl, the summer heat calls for an epicurean quest that’s more sipping paced. As part of Black Sheep group’s banging decennary anniversary and Summer Festival celebration, enjoy a languid afternoon strolling through the winding streets of SoHo, accompanied by an all-star wine list. Spread between Stazione Novella, Maison Libanaise, and Ho Lee Fook, Cedar Strolls is an oenophile’s journey into the listed concepts’ top wine picks, paired with bite-sized gastronomic delights. 8. Whoa-oh, I’ma Take My Bar to the Ocean

Taking residence behind the counter for one night only, rising bar star Jade Lau is taking on a guest shift at The Mira’s vibrant lobby bar this weekend. Lau will be part of the hotel’s ongoing series of appearances oflauded mixologists behind card carrying concepts frequently seen amongst the Asia’s 50 Best Bars ranks. Making use of Ki No Bi Kyoto Gin, and Monkey 47, revel in one of Jade’s selections that shake up sophisticated flavourings such as pineapple earl grey cordial, star anise, and yuzu.

More guest shifts are to come, starring Draft Land’s Alexander Ko on Aug. 19, followed by Quinary’s Kit Ho and Kai Ng on Aug. 26. Soak up some sizzling beach vibes right in the heart of the city at The Mira’s summertime Miami Beach Club, where themed feasts, tropical-inspired spa rituals, beachy beats, and more luscious drinks await.

9. Magna Carta Latina

Hailing from Latin America, the vibrant new menu at Hollywood Road’s all-day-dining mainstay Doubleshot is a spread that is sure to win you over. Indulge in much-loved fixtures like the Empanadas with choice of chicken or beef, char-grilled Anticucho skewers, smoked paprika dabbed Negro Mole, and more. Wash it all down with their icy Frozen Margaritas for the ultimate satisfaction!

10. Sushiyoshi Summer

Keeping with the seasons, Sushiyoshi are serving up a bespoke summer omakase selection born out of the joint creations of Chef Hiroki and sushi senpai Chef Kazunari Aaraki. Spanning 18 courses, the delectable dishes bring out the beauty of the best catches and produce right now, including horse mackerel, the plushy sweet Muscat grape, abalones and more.
