Program Highlights

Courtesy of Shana Aminova
6 PM to 10 PM: Interactive Installation
in+corporeal (Shana Aminova, Hong Kong): An interactive projection that explores human existence in the digital landscape. Audiences alter the work through movement, redefining physical interaction.
7 PM: Short Film Screenings
Divisional Articulations (Max Hattler, Hong Kong): A collision of fuzzy analog synths by composer Lux Prima and geometric digital animation, creating a hypnotic audiovisual feedback loop.
ZOON (Jonathan Schwenk, Germany): A Sundance-premiered film featuring a nocturnal swamp, where gleaming axolotls pursue primal games. This short film has been screened at 150+ festivals globally.
[O] (Mario Radev & Chiara Sgatti, UK/Switzerland): A Sundance 2018-nominated meditation on the cycles of nature, featuring a world entirely based on sound frequency and vibration.
Salvage (Dirk Koy, Switzerland): Fragmented memories dissolve into digital abstraction, questioning the permanence of imagery.
Courtesy of Mufasa Yu
9 PM: Panel Discussion
Guests are encouraged to join the directors in a short panel discussion about technology and art: where the lines blur, where the seams come loose to abstraction. What as-yet unseen technologies can be imagined by art, as in [O]; and on the contrary, how the possibilities and limitations of current tech shape the boundaries of our imagination.
Partnerships with Purpose
unspun Studio and SOOOP has partnered with three organizations that are sure to elevate the experience of the event, as well as proceeds for earthquake relief efforts.
