Art Central Returns to Central Harbourfront for Its 2024 Edition
It’s that time of the year again, art enthusiasts! Art Central, a cornerstone event of Hong Kong Art Week 2024, is happening this March at its home destination, Central Harbourfront.
Co-presented with the United Overseas Bank (UOB), the four-day event will happen from March 28 to 31 and will showcase a wide range of artworks and programming from some of Asia’s most innovative galleries. Coupled with Central Harbourfront’s majestic view of the Hong Kong skyline, Art Central 2024 promises an eye-catching exhibition that will delight art lovers in the city and international visitors.
This year, the art fair will feature up-and-coming Asian and global artists, and over 90 participating galleries that will challenge the boundaries of contemporary art. The event is also expected to welcome over 40,000 visitors, including locals and tourists.
Aside from this, a new gallery sector called “NEO” will be unveiled at the fair. From the word itself, the sector will spotlight the works of new artists debuting at the exhibit. Visitors can also look forward to large-scale installations, in-depth discussions about the art industry, and performances, among other surprises.
On March 28, the exhibit will run on extended hours with the Night Central, happening from 5 PM to 9 PM on the said date.
This year’s edition will also see the return of the dining terrace, where guests, art enthusiasts, and collectors can gather and socialise over good food and beverages.
