HYROX Returns to Hong Kong, Launches Asian Championships This November

Ready to push your limits? HYROX, the world’s fastest-growing indoor fitness competition, is returning to Hong Kong this November, and this year it’s bringing even more heat with the Cigna Healthcare HYROX Open Asian Championships from Nov. 23 to Nov. 24, 2024!
After a wildly successful debut in 2023, HYROX earned a spot on TIME magazine’s prestigious TIME100 Most Influential Companies 2024 list — and is ready to take the competition to the next level!
Taking place at the AsiaWorld-Expo alongside Fitness Wellness Expo (FWE), the Cigna Healthcare HYROX Open Asian Championships will declare one lucky athlete crowned as the HYROX Open Asian Champion for the first time in HYROX history!
But that’s not all — the weekend will also feature an additional race, the HYROX Elite 15 Major Race on Nov. 22, as part of the HYROX Elite 15 Series, and the Mixed Relay Asian Championship Invitational on Nov. 24.

To compete in the Elite 15 Majors, athletes need to earn their spot through season rankings or automatic qualification from the 23/24 season. Meanwhile, the Mixed Relay Invitational is invite-only, where only the top team from each region across Asia will face off for glory.
According to HYROX’s APAC Managing Director Gary Wan, this year’s event expects 6,000 participants from over 40 countries, representing more than 80 nationalities.
Hong Kong’s fitness community is known for its passion and enthusiasm, making this event one to remember. By the end of 2024, more than 205,000 athletes will have taken part in the HYROX, which combines hybrid endurance with functional fitness.
The HYDROX format integrates a 1km run with eight rounds of functional workout stations, including exercises like SkiErgs, sled pulls, and burpee broad jumps.
Whether you’re racing solo, as part of a doubles team, or in a four-person relay, HYROX offers something for everyone. There are even Corporate and Secondary School (16-18) Relay races for those who want to compete with coworkers or classmates.
Not racing? No problem, you can still get in on the action as a spectator! Register online via their official website here, or visit HYROX Hong Kong on Instagram, or Facebook.
