This August 2022, wine lovers and the wine-curious have much to look forward to, thanks to the myriad of wining and dining events coming their way. Make sure you don't miss them — these five events should be up your alley for your next pour decision.


Thirsty Thursdays at K11 MUSEA

If you want to try different types of wine for a fixed price, look no further than Thirsty Thursdays at K11 MUSEA Wine Lounge and Shop. Partakers get to taste three types of wine in this tasting event, with wine specialists at the ready to share information about each one.

Thirsty Thursdays will run from Aug. 18 to Sept. 15 from 5 PM to 8 PM. The premiere tasting this Thursday, Aug. 18, is Pinot Noir Around the World and costs HK$360 per set. The themes for the weekly tasting will change, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled if you're curious about certain wine selections. The Great Gatsby Party at The Hari Hong Kong

Live it up like Jay Gatsby at The Hari Hong Kong this Aug. 25 with a Great Gatsby-themed party at Japanese establishment Zoku Restaurant & The Terrace. The five-star hotel has carefully curated the event to ensure the party indeed lives up to Gatsby's penchant for excess and lavishness.

The party's menu comprises six courses, along with a themed drinks list with cocktail names like Gatsby Highball, Tea Party, and Golden Age Spritz, among others. The dinner menu costs HK$1,288 and will be served from 6 PM to 9 PM, with a six-hour free flow of drinks until midnight. What's not to love? Reserve your spot to this Gatsby party pronto.

Wine and Cheese Party at The Murray

You just can't divorce wine from cheese. The Murray, Hong Kong agrees! Catch its pet-friendly Wine and Cheese Party happening on Aug. 20 and 22, which promises a fun afternoon filled with fine vintage wines and exquisite cheeses, as well as the Pet Market for treats for your furry friends.

The Wine and Pass-Around Cheese will run from 4 PM to 7 PM, while the Pet Market is open from 2 PM to 7 PM. A ticket for one person and one pet costs HK$498, inclusive of two drinks and cheese. Guests may also go for the free-flow wine package for endless fun.

Wines of Provence is partnering with selected restaurants and retailers in the region to bring Hong Kongers the "Provence O'Clock" promotion for the summer, which comprises a photo contest, a restaurant promo, and a retail promo.

Those who wish to win a meal for two with a bottle of Provence wine may try their luck by following Vins de Provence on Instagram and simply sharing their moment with Provence wines using the hashtags #vinsdeprovence #ProvenceOclock . Winners for the contest will be announced on Aug. 31, so get snapping.

Meanwhile, several restaurants in town have limited price promotions for their Provence wines by the glass or by the bottle, as well as physical and online wine retailers on different Wines of Provence. Burgundy 101: The Premier Crus of Vosne-Romanée

Another wine event you should consider at K11 MUSEA this August is this Burgundy 101 tasting, which is made for both novice and experienced wine enthusiasts. Six different types of burgundy will be served in the tasting, including a 2018 Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat - Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Suchots" and a 2009 Domaine Lamarche - Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "La Croix Rameau," to name a few.

The Burgundy 101 tasting is priced HK$1,980 per person and will be held on Aug. 27 from 2 PM to 3:30 PM.
