Malaysian Companies Unveil Partnership, Begins Trial for World’s Fastest 5G

A global partnership between Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), Telekom Malaysia (TM), and ZTE Corporation is set to unveil the world's fastest 5G live trial (with a speed of up to 28 Gbps) and Malaysia's first standalone 5G core.

Through a press release yesterday, Oct. 18, the companies involved have shared with the public their upcoming plans.

This partnership marks another significant milestone for the country, leveraging DNB's leading role in 5G connectivity, TM's network and digital expertise, and ZTE's renowned mmWave active antenna technology. The collaboration aims to pave the way for the next-generation transport network, upscaling and setting a new global standard in wireless communication.

Aside from the powerful partnership between the companies, this collaboration aims to open doors, revolutionise Malaysia's 5G landscape, give more opportunities, and improve communities, businesses, and government.

Officially making its launch at TM's Multimedia University, representatives from DNB, TM, and ZTE graced the groundbreaking partnership.
