Pawrents Show Off Their Chonky Pets at Fat Cat Competition in Johor Bahru

A shopping mall in Johor Bahru recently held a pet competition that’s a chonk full of cuteness, and it’s 100% adorable.

Dubbed “Fat Cat Competition,” the contest was part of the activities held during Sutera Mall’s long weekend pet fair, which ran from April 28 to May 1. Animal lovers and pet owners alike gathered to see who was the chonkiest of them all.

In a Facebook post, Sutera Mall shared photos of the cats (and their owners) during their weigh-ins and the winners who received their prizes from the pet fair’s sponsors: Easy Pet Shop and Chunk Bits.

“Look at all the cute and chubby cats who gathered at Sutera Mall today! Aww, cuteness overload indeed!” the shopping mall’s Facebook caption reads.

Although the competition was successful, with the Facebook post going viral, many people aired their concerns about it and called out the mall for possibly encouraging pet owners to overfeed their cats. Sutera Mall has yet to comment on the matter.
