Malaysia Ranks Second as the Friendliest Country in Asia, Survey Says
Finance website Insider Monkey has unveiled its list of the top friendliest countries in Asia based on its survey and conducted study, where Malaysia secured the second spot among the countries in the region.
Earning a 2.20 score, Malaysia ranked second in Asia, 15th in the whole world, and 16th as the most immigrant-friendly country. It opened its doors to almost 26 million tourists in 2023 with its high visa acceptance rate.
The country was also recently named as one of the trending destinations in 2024 by online travel website Tripadvisor.
Joining the list, United Arab Emirates secured the first spot with a score of 2.52. Right below Malaysia is Vietnam with 1.67, the Philippines with 1.63, and Singapore in the fifth spot with 1.51.
The survey is based on the website’s study by using different sources, including their own previous rankings and those of other corporate insiders.
