Every year on Feb. 14, people celebrate love and romance by going out to a nice restaurant, watching a movie, or giving their other half a bouquet of roses and chocolates.

Sunny Side Up Market: Valentine's Edition 2023
Sunny Side Up Market, a curated community market, will celebrate the season of love by hosting a special Valentine's Day market on Feb. 11 and 12 from 11 AM to 6 PM at Slate, The Row!
For couples who have started decorating their own house, this market is the perfect place for aesthetically pleasing home finds. Most products available at the market are made by local artisans and crafters.

Maksim Mrvica’s The Collection Tour
Musical entertainment is certainly included in our lineup of Valentine’s Day events for 2023! Lovers of piano recitals can see Croatian classical crossover pianist Maksim Mrvica perform live in Malaysia. This performance kicks off the Asian leg of his “The Collection Tour.”
Brimming with spectacular audio-visual stage effects, Maksim’s one-night Valentine’s concert will be happening on Feb. 14 (8 PM) at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The virtuoso pianist will perform classical masterpieces by Liszt and Chopin. Malaysian fans will surely fall in love as Maksim plays some of the greatest hits of Coldplay, John Legend and Queen, as well as theme songs from movies like “The Godfather,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “Game of Thrones,” among others. L.O.V.E. Valentine’s with Philwinds
As Valentine’s Day is coming soon, the Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia invites you to a special evening of music and celebration. The “L.O.V.E. - Valentines with Philwinds” will feature performances of wind band repertoires with a theme on love, spearheaded by conductor Eric Lee and renowned jazz pianist Michael Veerapan. This Valentine’s Day event will take place on Feb. 10 (8 PM) and Feb. 11 (3PM-8PM) at the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre.
The show will be filled with performances from professional orchestra members, freelance musicians, and music educators, among others. Regular tickets cost RM64 while discounted student tickets are priced at RM54. You may reserve your tickets via Onetix.

Backstage Bites: Valentine's Edition
For passionate artists who are itching for a private backstage tour, the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) opens its doors for everyone this Valentine’s Day. The Backstage Bites: Valentine’s Edition is happening on Feb. 11 (5PM) at the KLPAC.
Aside from the guided tour, guests can also dine in at Craf and get a concert ticket to an oldie but goodie, “Cabaret Series: Yesterday Once More 4,” which will showcase popular classics from the ‘40s to the ‘70s.

Mark Atkins, His Stories and His Music
The Didgeridoo Workshop with Mark Atkins is another Valentine's Day event happening at the KLPAC. Atkins aims to share his eclectic music by playing the Aboriginal instrument, as well as introduce his Irish-Australian heritage.
“In this workshop, acclaimed First Nations Australian didgeridoo virtuoso Mark Atkins will introduce the instrument, explain its significance in First Nations Australian culture, and guide participants through how the instrument is played, including techniques like circular breathing,” the announcement read. Bonus: Mamamoo “My Con” World Tour
Another almost Valentine’s Day event is the “My Con” World Tour of vocal powerhouse Mamamoo, slated for Feb. 11 (6 PM) at the Malawati Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysian Moomoos will be treated to a night filled with heavenly vocals of Korean superstars Hwasa, Moonbyul, Solar, and Wheein, as they perform their hit songs “HIP,” “Egotistic,” “AYA,” and “gogobebe,” to name a few. Tickets can be purchased via Excitix.
